Definition

The act of forcing one's penis into the mouth of another (in a forcible manner), or/and rubbing one's penis across another's body, in order to achieve ejaculation.

History

Comes from the Latin word 'irrumare' which refers to 'the forcing of another to perform fellatio'. In the Roman Empire, this was a common practice, despite the believe that oral sex was a defilement.

J.N. Adams claims it was a standard joke of that period, that it was how to shut up another, through Irrumation.

It is also noted, that those who could do this, with impunity, held great power. A sign of their superiority over the person forced to perform the act.

Emperor Tiberius is reputed to have enjoyed Irrumation, even with those of high rank, as a sign of his ultimate power over all his subjects.

Further evidence of this being common in that age, are found in frescos from Pompeii, showing it as a popular practice.

In Roman Times, Oral sex was considered to be more vile, than anal sex, despite being an accepted practice within the Bathhouse or Brothels. This would also apply to the act being performed on one's slaves.

Some experts lay claim that despite its popularity, it was perceived as a degrading act.. This claim is based on that Greek Men had to force the act, and that violence was needed, to achieve it.

Due to the importance of oratory powers, and the symbolism that the Greeks placed on such oratory skills, the idea of a penis in a mouth, was considered more of a hostile act, than just an example of Power.

About

The primary difference between the more often used term of Fellatio and Irrumatio is in the force, the perceived power of the Giver over the Receiver. More aptly known as 'face fucking, throat fucking' today's use does not always (if at all) carry that distinction of it being forced.

Both Fellatio and Irrumatio involve the penis being in the mouth/throat of the receiver. The achieving of ejaculation is not essential, though many prefer to achieve that level, for it to be considered fellatio and/or Irrumatio. Just as in Fellatio, there are varied positions that one can assume, to achieve this sexual act.

Bottom line, is this is a more forceful, rougher, form of fellatio.

Practice (Associated Acts): While in Ancient Rome, the act was considered a sign of power, today's version is one of mutual pleasure, through role playing, or other desires for sexual satisfaction.

Some consider this forceful act to be a way to spice up their sex lives, while others do it to show their willingness to submit to the needs of their partners. It is all consensual, unlike during Ancient Roman times. In many instances, the Receiver perceives this as a form of them having power over the Giver.

Noteworthy: In Peruvian pottery, of the Mochica Culture, a form of this seems to be depicted.
