'Finally! I was starving!', I exclaim as I lay my tray on the round table. 'So was I.', Gray says smiling at my exaggeration. The thing that I loved the most about Gray was that he understood me. He listens to my thoughts. Gray interrupts my thoughts, 'Are you feeling okay?', he asks. I smile and help myself for a kiss. 'I'll take that as a yes.', he says taken by surprise. I look around to see some people staring... some seeing us in disgust, others looking at us like a good couple, and others just glad that Gray is attending this school.

'Geez.', Gray blurts out giving me a heavy stare. 'What?', I blurt out, worried that I might have done something wrong. 'Oh nothing... it's just that you seem cuter by the minute.', he says. He lays his arm across my shoulder and lays his chin on my head for a while. I lay my head on his chest, and hear the thuds of his heart. It oddly comforted me. I could have slept all day on his chest if he told me to. He breaks off the snuggling and we continue eating. 'Eating hard or hardly eating', I hear a familiar voice. I look up to see Randy...

'Oh.... hi guys.', I greet them, surprised by their presence. Randy and Dakota usually sit in a table that only involves both of them so they can fill eachother with kisses and "love".

'Can we join you guys? Our usual table is occupied by some other kids...', Dakota explains. 'Sure.', I hand gesture them to sit. It's awkwardly silent for a few minutes as we eat. 'So... you like apple juice.', Randy asks Gray obviously trying to start a conversation. 'Yeah... it has a better taste than orange juice to me.', Gray replies. The conversation fades quickly and we go silent again. Gray chugs the last of his juice and stands up. 'Gotta go to the restroom. Be right back babe.', he says giving me a peck on the lips. It takes me a minute to realize Dakotas and Randys reaction. Which tell me they didn't know about me and Gray...

'Was I dreaming? Or did Gray really just call you babe and kiss you?', Randy said raising an eyebrow. Dakota was all smiles. 'Awww you guys look so cute together.', she said. I blush and thank her. Different from Randy who seemed mad or extremely curious about us. 'I thought you were friends.', he said gazing at me deeply. 'Well yesterday after you guys left, Gray asked me to be his boyfriend.', I explained to Randy. He tried to pull off a normal reaction like a simple "oh"... but failed when I saw how agressive he started picking at his boneless chicken. 'Urgh! What the hell do they put on this chicken!', he shouts frusturated. The table shakes when Randy gives up and stabs the chicken with his fork. Dakota and I look at him in silence. Gray interrupts our awkward stares when he comes back from the restroom. 'Want to walk around outside?', Gray requests. 'Sure... I could use some fresh air.', I mumble. 'After you my eye candy.', he says. I can't help but laugh. 'Are we still meeting up on saturday?', Randy asks before I leave. 'I'm not sure, depends on whether I'm... busy... or not.', I say, giving somewhat of a flirtish wink at Gray. He grins and leans in to kiss me. 'WELL...', Randy says in a loud tone, braking our kiss. 'I hope you don't postpone the date. You know how grumpy I get about that.', he says, almost as if he was demanding not to cancel him. 'Don't worry... I'll tell you if there's a change of plans.', I say annoyed by his tone of voice. Randy lets out a grumpy grunt and mumbles words. 'Shall we go?', I ask Gray. We walk... leaving Randy and Dakota alone in our table.

'Ugh, this weather is so darn hot!', Gray says waving his hands towards his face, making a hand fan. 'Almost as hot as you.', I tell Gray. He smiles. 'You know, if you keep complimenting me, I might just die of smiling one of these days.', he jokes. We sit on a bench and compliment eachother for quite some time. 'That Randy guy sure is a jealous best friend, isn't he?', he brings up randomly. 'I think he's just trying to make an effort of not losing me as his best friend.', I say thinking about Randys reactions. 'Oh, just like when he made an effort of not forgetting you when he first went out with Dakota?', he said sarcastically. I was speechless, that was actually true. I remember telling Gray about my past events with Randy and some of Angelo. I didn't think he would backfire using them. Good thing I haven't told him about both of them knowing that I had a crush on them.

'Sorry... but the way I see it, he is being unfair.', Gray said. 'Yeah... I guess he kind of is.', I say, giving up on trying to find an excuse for him. Something deep down in me told me that Randy was jealous... not of my friend/relationship with Gray... but jealous of how happy I am with Gray. I shake my head, hoping to get those thoughts out of my mind by doing so. 'We better go back to classes, we don't want to be late.', Gray says.

After school, I convince Gray to walk with me to the bakery so he could meet my grandmother. Besides my craving for donuts at the moment. We enter the bakery, the sudden smell of fresh baked bread and strawberry jam filled cookies fill my nose. My stomach groans. 'Hey Grandma', I say, as I see her finish up with a customer. 'Hello Artie!, how was school?', she asks. 'Good, as usual.', I tell her. 'Well... did you just drop by to say hello?', my grandmother asked as she packed me a bag of donuts and cookies. 'Actually... to say hello and so you could meet.... my boyfriend.', I told her shyly. She stopped what she was doing and turned around. She looks at gray for the first time and chuckles. 'Oh Artie... you should have told me earlier... I look all dirty.', she said wiping her hands on her apron and fixing her hair. 'Seth Stein', my grandmother held her hand out. 'Gray Andrews, at your services.', Gray says kissing her hand. 'Ooo what a gentleman', grandma tells him. Gray smiles with success. 'Well grandma, I'll see you later... don't want to distract you from work.', I tell her. 'Alright Artie, you kids be good now. Nothing funky okay?', she says. My face immediately turns red. We make our way back to my house. 'Charming... isn't she?', Gray said wanting to laugh. 'Sure... you can call her that.', I said recovering from the embarrassing moments my grandmother put me through.

We get to the house and as usual, Angelo is working. 'Hey Angelo.', I call out. 'Hey Carter.',he says waving. As we get closer he greets Gray. 'Oh... Hey Gray.', Angelo shakes his hand. Gray responds with a nod and smile. 'Still working I see...', I tell Angelo. 'Yeah, since we got out of school.', he says. 'That's about an hour and a half ago.',I told him. He nods. 'Well, you can go anytime you want.', I say. 'Yeah... i'll just finish this up.', he says. 'Hey sugar pop?', Gray asks crossing his arms infront of my chest and giving me a tight hug. 'Yeah?', I answer. 'I gotta go already.', he says rubbing our cheeks together. 'Already? Can't you move in with me?', I joked. Gray laughs. 'I wish... you could replace my teddy bear if we were to move in together.', he says. 'You have a teddy bear?', I said smirking. 'No, but it would be a pleasure if you were my teddy bear.', Gray winks and leans in for a kiss. 'See you tomorrow...', he tells me. 'Later Angelo', he shouts before leaving. Angelo... I totally forgot he was here...

I look over to him and see him very concentrated on his work. 'Well... ima be inside, you can leave whenever you w-'.... 'how long have you guys been going out?', he cut me off. 'Just yesterday.', I tell him. 'Oh.', he simply mutters. Unlike Randys "oh", Angelos "oh" actually gave me the feeling that he didn't care. 'Why?', I asked him. 'Just curious... not every guy hugs and kisses another one, so I figured.', he said, still focusing on his work like always. 'So how are things with Hannah?', I asked. 'Good... she's now officially my girlfriend.', he says. 'Since when?', I ask. 'About three or four days ago.', he says. 'Glad to hear the news.', I tell him. 'Of course you are.', he says with a sarcastic tone. 'Why wouldn't I? I mean if I have a boyfriend, then you should get a girlfriend.', I say. 'Uh huh.', he says grinning. 'Angelo... I don't have a crush over you anymore. So please stop with your sarcastic tones.', I tell him. 'Gray is more than enough hot stuff for me.', I say adding more fuel to the fire. 'Whatever.', he said annoyed.

'BABE!', a sudden yelling makes us turn around. Hannah. 'Ohh... speak of the devil', I blurt out. 'Are you ready to go?', she asks Angelo. 'Yeah... i'm done for today.', he says walking towards her. They kiss, and at one point Angelo looks at me as if saying, 'my kisses are for her not for you'. A true eye locking moment between us. As for hannah, she was prettier than the last time I saw her. 'Well... see you tomorrow Carter.', Angelo waved. I waved back. 'Good luck with gray...', he laughed while walking and hugging Hannah.

Hmmm so he thinks Gray and I can't reach their level? Well... two can play at that game.

(Hey guys, I want to keep thanking you guys for your support. The comments really boost my inspiration to keep making these stories, so thanks. P.S: Do you guys think I should make a second book after this one? Involving the same main characters.
