What is crotch rope?

A form of bondage that uses a rope to secure the groin area of a person, most usually a woman, though a male version exists.

History

From Japanese Bondage, which is more commonly known as Sakura or Matanawa. A form of Japanese Bondage art, which involves an intricate pattern, along with disabling particular movements.

About

This particular form of bondage, can be worn under one's clothes, or in plain sight. It can be used against the naked flesh, as well as over tight fitting under garments, such as Lycra, Spandex, etc.

The main features, are where a rope (usually a more softer material such as silk, velvet, can be used in place of a standard rope) is woven around the submissive groin region.

The rope is attached around the waist, then is weaved around the genitals and the buttocks. Use of knots are for placement and can be fixed in place, or allowed to move slightly, while the submissive moves.

This creates a reminder of their submission to their dominant partner. While mainly used for women submissive's, the goal is to excite the submissive, while enforcing their submission thoughts.

A rope, with knots, can be placed directly over the labia, or around it, depending on one's personal choices. For women, the knot(s) can be centered, as well as being placed within the valley of the buttocks.

Combining both methods, can further aid in creating the necessary pain/feelings associated with this and other types of bondage techniques.

By including the rope on either side of the labia, it increases the pressure on the center rope and knot.

Practice (Associated Acts): For men, the knot would obviously be placed in the buttocks, the knot pressing into the anus. It would also be placed around the genitals, forcing them together, creating some form of discomfort.

Noteworthy: Webbing or Harness strapping can be used, in place of the standard rope.

This form of bondage, is also a form of visual bondage, in that it can be used to create a visual stimulation to both partners.

The main purpose is to provide discomfort to the submissive, and pain, especially when any movement occurs.
