***Diary Entry***

I had the same dream again. I saw his face again. That same face I have been seeing for the past few years. Who is this guy? Why does he just stand there and say nothing? Why...

I closed my journal, and shifted my position in my seat on the plane. I looked out the window and saw the first glimpse of my new home, and new city. My names Alexander, but as most guys with my name always do, I go by Alex. Today marks the first day of new life in the Big Apple. I'm just your average 20 year-old, aspiring, water polo playing photojournalist. You know 6'1'', tan for living all my life in San Diego, short brown hair with brown eyes, and well-toned. I played polo all through high school, and all my hard work paid off when I got the letter from NYU telling me that I received there scholarship to come play for them.

So here I am.

The captain's voice came over the loud speaker, 'Ladies and Gentleman please fasten your seat belts as we begin our descent.'

I shoved my journal into my carry-on duffle bag, and proceeded off the plane. I want through the usual check-in, baggage claim routine, and caught

myself a taxi.

I asked the driver to take me to the school, I managed to get myself a dorm on campus, and after a long trip I was eager to get settled in a catch up on some much needed sleep. As we drove to the campus, I rolled down the window and took in the sights and smells of the city. Horns and sirens rang through the air, people of all sorts of styles and attitudes roamed the sidewalks. I never imagined it to be like this.

We soon arrived at the campus. I paid my fare and grabbed hold of all my belongings. I walked into the main office, got my room key, schedule, and map of the campus. The key said E. Wing 167. I strolled along the campus admiring all the students shuffling about, getting to know each other, smiling, laughing, and enjoying their new found freedom.

I found my building and ascended the stairs to the 3rd floor. I entered the level and scanned down the hallways for Room 167. Eventually I found my new home; I proceeded to open the door to my dorm whilst juggling my bags, when the door behind me opened.

'Oh hey man wha-, oh dude you need some help?' the man said as he reached out and took some of my bags.

'Thanks, I appreciate it,' I said as I turned the knob and opened the door. He followed me in as I proceeded towards the living room.

'Hey looks like you're the first one here! Lucky you bro, first dibs on everything,' he laughed.

'Perfect!' I said, 'Oh I'm sorry my names Alex.'

The man managed to reach out his arm for a hand shake and said, 'Oh yeah my bad bro, I'm Dylan.'

I shook his hand and he asked where I wanted my bags and I told him just drop by the couch and I'll put them away. As he walked over to the couch, I couldn't help myself but to get a good look at him. He was about my height, maybe an inch or so taller, shaved brownish-blonde hair, hazel eyes, tan, and as muscular as they come. He had a cute (well at least I thought it was) beard connecting from one side-burn down and across his chin to the other side-burn. I was never one to creep on another guy, but this guy was something out of an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog!

'There you go dude, hey if you're not doing anything later one of my buddies is throwing a welcoming party down on the first floor, and you're more than welcome to come,' he said with a smile.

I finished setting the rest of my bags down and replied, 'Yeah that would be awesome, but uh what room is it?'

'It's 117; it's past the fountain by the main lob-, actually you know what I'll come by later tonight and we'll go together, don't want you to get lost!' he laughed.

'Alright sounds good!' I replied shyly.

'Cool see ya later bro.'

He left my dorm and closed the door behind him. I flung myself on my bed. I had never been this way around someone before! I mean for a while I knew I was gay, but I never felt such butterflies about someone like this before. I started putting my stuff away, but all I could think about was this guy!

***Diary Entry***

So tonight I'm going to my first party with this guy named Dylan who lives across the hall! He is absolutely gorgeous, but I don't think he's gay, so I'm not going to get my hopes up, but hey we'll see! Oh and one more thing, front desk told me that my roommate won't be coming until tomorrow, wonder what he's like? Hopefully we get along, but anyways I'm just too excited about tonight!!!
