****Scene 1: Mike’s POV **********************

Chandler Mansion,                                                                                                                       Raven Hill Island,

After Eric and my bachelor parties turned into a violent bar fight all of us myself included, ended up spending the night in jail. The night before my wedding no less. And of all the guys involved in the fight I was the only one with wounds visible to the human eye. Eric, Jake, Kevin, Brett, and I all had the bruises to show what we had gotten into last night. But only I had a big stinking black eye to go with it.

“Just great, just fucking great!”

“Little bro calm down, I’ve got some concealer and foundation that we can use to cover all that up.” Emily smiled. “After I’ve applied the right amount to match your complexion no one will even know you had been in a fight the night before.”

“What? Makeup!?!” I gasped. “Thanks sis but I can’t wear your makeup. I just wouldn’t feel right.”

“Why not? You’re already gay.” My sister joked.

“Yeah, I know that but just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I want to wear a load of makeup or any makeup for that matter.”

“Lots of guys use concealer but just cover it up because of the social stigma against male grooming.” Kayla added. “Which I think is dumb. Because if my little Kevy-Poo wants to wear a little foundation I’m not going to stand in his way.”

“Don’t give your hopes up,” Kevin laughed.

“Babe calm down,” Eric interjected. “Wear a little makeup to conceal that black eye is not going to ruin our wedding, it’s going to save it. And it certainly won’t make you any less of a man.

“My man,” Eric smiled as he leaned over and kissed me on the lips.

“Ok you two,” Kayla coughed loudly in an attempt to break up Eric and me. “We need to get to work. I’ve been wanting to do this for years.”

“Really?” I asked, nervously.

“Yes it’s always been a dream of mine,” Kayla smiled. “You have such beautiful facial features and makeup will only heighten it.”

“She’s right,” Emily assured me.

“Just cover up the black eye,” I grumbled. “I don’t need a makeover.”

“Ok fine, but were going to have to put it on the whole part of your face or else it’s going to look uneven.”

“Ok fine……..but don’t overdue it.”

“Yayyy” Emily and Kayla both squealed. “We can’t wait!”

Kayla and my sister Emily spent the next few minutes rummaging through my sister’s dressers looking for makeup to use. Once they found the right shade to match my complexion they spent the next few minutes applying concealer to my nose and around both eyes, before removing some of it, applying it again. Until they finally reached a consensus on what was the best amount. The whole time all my friends watched the scene unfold.

“Damn dude you look good as new.” Jake chuckled.

“Sexy too,” Eric added

“See I told you we could fix it,” Emily smiled as she held up a hand mirror for me to look into. “Now let’s go get you two married.”

“What do you mean get us married? We have eight hours until we walk down the aisle.” Eric laughed.

“Yeah but we can’t spend all that time hear.” Kayla replied. “Here’s what we’ll do, how about we take Mike and you guys take Eric and we will meet back at the Saint Luke’s in time for the wedding.”

“It’s a deal,”

“Wait, I’ve got to go to the hospital to retrieve the results of the DNA test that Kevin helped me set up.” Jake sighed. “This could help me get to the bottom of this whole blackmailer thing.”

“Jake how about you go with Mike and the others’ I’ll go get the results from the hospital and bring them to you.” Brett added.

“You would do that for me?” Jake smiled.

“Yeah, I don’t mind,” Brett continued. “I can just pick the results up from the lab before I make my way over to the church and then we can solve this mystery once and for all.”

****Scene 2: Mike’s POV **********************

Chandler Mansion,                                                                                                                             Raven Hill Island,

While Eric, Chris and Adam went back to Eric’s house to get dressed the rest of the gang stayed at my house to get dressed. Sometime during the time we were getting ready Paul decided to take off. He told us he had a last minute errand to run so we paid no mind to his sudden departure. I was too overjoyed and too overwhelmed with emotions about my upcoming wedding to the love of my life. Eric Smith….

No matter how much I loved Eric and no matter how much I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him I could not for the life of me write it into words. Yes even with the clock ticking I couldn’t find the words to write my vows and to show Eric just how much I truly loved him. I had spent weeks writing and rewriting my vows, trying to find the right thing to say. But once I had thought I had wrote the perfect vows I found something wrong with it and I was forced to rip it up and start fresh.

Kayla had walked in on me a couple of times, even once when my underwear were still down my legs, so I decided to lock my bedroom door at least until I had finished dressing myself. No sooner had I unlocked the door, Kayla came barging in. She had changed from her regular casual clothes into a light blue sundress. In the short time between her bursting into my room unannounced and looking me up and down she managed to notice my current state.

“Mike what’s wrong?” Kayla called, having noticed my frustration.

“Nothing is wrong….” I sighed. “I’m just a little nervous that’s all…..And it’s just making it hard for me to finish writing my vows. I have been going over and over in my head looking for the right thing to say. But I just can’t find what to say.”

“Mike Eric loves you and he loves you. He knows that you love him.” Kayla smiled. “If you just let the words come from your heart he will know how you feel. Whatever you tell him he’s going to love you regardless.”

“Thanks Kayla that means a lot, but can you please leave so I can finish getting dressed.” I smiled. Every once in a while Kayla made sense and this was one of those times.

After my talk with Kayla I had no trouble writing my vow. I even read Kayla a little excerpt of them and she told me she really liked it. So that was a good sign at least. The rest of the guys finished getting dressed so we headed off to the church

****Scene 3: Emily’s POV **********************

Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church,                                                                                                  44 Harbor View Road,

After getting Mike and the other safely to one of the rooms in the back of the church I went looking for my mother, Elizabeth Chandler. She had left hours before us so she had to have made it to the church by now. I heard voices in the church basement……so I went down there to check and see what was going on. Sure enough it was mother and she was engaged in a very heated conversation with a man that I could not recognize. Some part of my brain told me to pull out my phone and to start recording and I did just that.

“Lady What about the money you promised me and my boys!” the guy yelled. “We got into a fight with those kids like you asked. And they ended up spending the night in jail and so did we. We need our money.”

“I wanted them to spend the night in jail so that they would be forced to cancel the wedding.” My mother replied. “But the wedding is going on as planned and my son is marrying that faggot.” These words horrified me, how could my mother be so closeminded and so hateful of the one person that made her son feel loved. I knew she had reservations against the relationship but I had no idea she felt like that.

“Lady either give me the money you owe me or I’m going to tell your son that his sweet mom is trying to ruin his wedding.”

“Listen hear I didn’t spend weeks paying people to breakup my son’s relationship with that faggot to stand by and let some thug get the best of me.” My mother smiled. “I have endured that unnatural relationship for long enough and I have to put a stop to it.”

“Lady I don’t care about all of that,” the guy cried. “If your son is gay he’s gay. You can’t change that, just give me the money that you owe me.”

“Fine, hear you go,” My mother replied as she rudely reached into her purse for her wallet. She handed him some money and the guy walked up the steps causing me to make a dash up the stairs before he caught me spying on him and my mother.

After the guy had left my mother waited a few minutes before walking back up the stairs to the church’s basement. But when she did walk up the stairs I was waiting to greet her. I think I startled her a little bit.

“Emily what are you doing here?” she asked.

“Um……….I don’t know, but it might have something to do with the fact that my little brother, your son is getting married today. You know the wedding you’ve been trying to stop for months.”

“Girl what on earth are you talking about?” my mother cried. “I have to go get ready for this thing.”

“Mom cut the crap I heard everything you said. “I began. I heard every disgusting thing you said about Eric and about his relationship with Mike. So it was you behind all the schemes to break Eric and Mike up.”

“Yes it was me. It was all of me. I cannot allow your brother to throw away his life like this.” My mother sighed. “He has so much going for him and being gay doesn’t fit.”

“What do you mean it doesn’t fit?” I cried. “If he’s gay and if he wants to marry a man, live with a man, and raise a family with man it’s up to him not you.”

“I’m not going to let him throw his life away over some guy!!!” My mother screamed back. “Soon his attraction to Eric is going to cool and then he will have married someone that he doesn’t really love.”

“Mother that cannot be further from the truth,” I cried, outraged at my mother’s behaviour. I don’t know why I was outraged, because paying someone to breakup her child’s relationship was something she would surely do. “I’ve seen Eric and Mike together first hand, I’ve seen the way those two look at each other I’ve never seen two people more in love. They love each other with every fibre in their being.”

“Even if their so called relationship is more than just lust I can’t take the risk of my son ruining his life. That would be a big mistake.”

“Mom it would be an even bigger mistake to keep meddling in your son’s love life. If he realizes that you ruined his being happy with Eric he’s going to resent you. Listen I’m not going to let you ruin this wedding…..if you even object in any way I’m going to tell Michael everything that you did.” I cried before storming off.

****Scene 4: Brett’s POV **********************

Harmony Hospital, 16th Floor,                                                                                                         6024 Main Street,

After I had finished getting dressed I drove over to the hospital to pick up the results of the DNA test Jake and Kevin had run at the hospital lab. Jake had managed to get a piece of the blackmailer’s DNA when the sick fuck had blindfolded him and forced him to suck his dick. Yes the DNA that Jake had got tested was a pubic hair……….a few pubic hairs actually. Ewww, and from that freak. Jake and I were in a largely open relationship so I didn’t mind that he had done this, especially since it would get us one step closer to finally putting a stop to this blackmailer who was terrorizing our lives.

Walking to the other end of the hospital lobby I went over to the elevator. Clicking the up button, I waited for it to open. Once the elevator opened up, I climbed in and took it up to the sixteenth floor where the hospital Lab was located. I knocked on the door a couple times until the Lab technician finally pressed his face against the glass to see what I wanted.

“Can I help you?” he asked. I’m guessing by his name tag that his name was Trevor, but for all I know that could just be a nickname but whatever. “You’re a little too over dressed to be running hospital errands.” He added noting my dress clothes.

“I have a wedding to get too, but right now I’m here to pick up some DNA test results that a friend of mine had run a few days ago.” I replied as I waited for his response.

“I’m afraid I can only release the results of the DNA Test to the person who ordered it.” Trevor, the Lab technician responded. “I’m sorry but that’s hospital policy.”

“Ok what if he tells you himself that it’s fine to give the results to me?” I said as I pulled out my phone.

At first I had thought about simply calling Jake but I decided instead to do one better and facetime him so that he could tell the lab tech face to face that he had sent me to get the results. Jake said hey to me and then to the lab tech, stating how he remembered him from the other day. Trevor, the Lab technician replied likewise.

And I thought everything was going well by the end of the facetime conversation that I was certain Trevor would be handing me the results to the DNA test that would determine the identity of the blackmailer. But no sooner had the facetime ended the guy was trying to hasten me out of the lab, without the results.

“But wait?!” I called out. “You never gave me the results. You talked to Jake yourself and he even told you face to face that it was cool to give them to me. Can I have them please?”

“I’m sorry but I can’t do that,” the Lab Technician replied.

“What do you mean you can’t do that?!?!” I yelled back. “You just spoke to him…..he……..he ……….he told you.”

“How do I even know that was really him?”

“Because it was?!?!!” I yelled. “Come on man can’t you just let me have them?”

“I already said no,” Trevor state firmly. “And I think it is time for you to go.”

Just as he said that his phone began to ring…..it must have been some kind of emergency because in his haste to get out of there and to get me out of there he left the door unlocked. This fact did not go unnoticed by me, so once the coast was clear I went back into the lab, found the file that belonged to Jake and left.

My curiosity got the best of me so I opened the manila folder and began reading the results. The results of the DNA test confirmed that the DNA sample submitted was a 99.99% percent match to a sample already on file in the hospital. Blah, blah, blah, matching with one……….Paul Hayes.

I looked down at the bottom of the paper and read the name off again just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. Paul Hayes…..Paul Hayes. Jake’s so called friend Paul was behind the whole thing……the blackmail, the reveal of Jake’s mother’s affair, making us split. He was behind everything…… he stabbing his so-called friend in the back and secretly trying to destroy my relationship with Jake all the while pretending to be his friend.

“Oh my god! I have to tell Jake!” I cried, as I made a beeline to the elevators. None of them were working for some reason so I was forced to take the stairwell. Let me tell you, walking down sixteen flights of stairs can get really tiring, really fast.

I think once I reached the tenth flight of steps I was practically out of breath but suddenly the lights went out. “Just great! Just fucking great!” I yelled. I rummaged around in my pocket and pulled out my phone so that I could use it as a guide and to light the way.

I walked down a few more flights of stairs but the whole time I felt like someone was following. This kind of creeped me out so I turned to calm my nerves. In that moment I wished that I hadn’t, but I’m pretty sure doing that saved my life. I turned around to see Paul Hayes smiling menacingly at me.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I yelled. “And why the fuck are you following me? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”

“I should ask you the same question,” Paul smirked. “Enough with the small talk Brett we can skip the introductions and the greetings. You didn’t honestly think I would let you leave with that.” He said coldly, as he pointed at the manila folder in my hand.

“Oh, this old thing it’s nothing really. It’s just some papers my aunt wanted me to take to her office,” I lied.

“Brett it seems you’re going the wrong way…….I thought the Chief of Staff’s office was on the tenth floor. You passed it by a few floors.” Paul chuckled. “Let me see it.”

“Paul I’m afraid I can’t let you see this.” I replied firmly.

“Well I’m afraid were at an impasse.” Paul smiled coldly. “Because I can’t let you leave with that folder and I certainly can’t let you give that to Jake.”

“Why the hell not?!?!” I yelled at him. “Is it because you are the one that’s been blackmailing us for weeks. You sick fuck!”

“You couldn’t just leave well enough alone, could you?!” Paul added. “You just had to keep digging and digging. You found something but your meddling is going to cost you. Dearly.”

“What are you going to do? How are you going to stop me from telling Jake everything?!?!”

“I’m not,” Paul smirked……”But you are…..”

“What do you mean I am? If you think I’m going to let you continued to pretend to be a friend to Jake for one more second you better think again. I’m telling Jake everything!”

“Oh if you do that……you better tell him about what really happened in Connecticut,” Paul smiled, making me uneasy. “Or did you forget the person’s whose death you caused.”

“What? How? How did you find out about that?” I gasped.

“Well you see when you first started hanging around Jake I knew you guys were more than new BFF’s so I did some digging until I hit rock. Then I did some more digging and that’s when I hit gold. You see I’m good at finding out dirty little secrets and even better at airing them for all the world to see. I found article after article about the guy you killed. He’d still be alive today if it wasn’t for you. I wonder how Jake would feel knowing his precious little Brett was not only lying to him but cold blooded murderer.”

“That’s not how it happened……” I sighed, as I began to break down. “I never meant for that happen. It was an accident. I didn’t mean it. You don’t understand.”

“What’s not to understand? A guy is dead because of you and Jake is going to hate you forever.” Paul smiled. “Just give me the folder and we can forget about this whole thing and Jake will never know about your dirty little secret.”

“You know what I’d rather Jake hate me then let him live another day being tormented by the likes of you.” I cried as I pushed Paul over. I made a dash for the steps and took off running, not even looking back for a moment. Finally I reached the Hospital’s parking deck and found my car. I started it and drove off. Once on the open road I sped off down the road to the church…….getting dressed, trying to convince the lab tech to give me the results and confronting Paul had shaved off several hours. The Wedding was probably starting any minute. And I had several missed calls from Jake.

No sooner had I reached the open road I felt like I was being followed by this creepy looking car. It was black and every time I changed lanes it would do the same, every time I turned into another road it did the same. When the black car sped up to me and slammed into my rear side I knew that I was being followed and I knew that it was Paul.

I guess I didn’t give myself time to react or maybe I didn’t slow down enough because as I drove around the winding road I lost control of the wheel and the car drove off to the other side. The black car kept driving down the road. My car was only halted by a tree and the halt was more of a crash then a halt. Next thing I knew everything went black.

STAY TUNED………………………………………
