It's not much, and I'm being honest. The submissive in the story has a seen-this, done-that mindset, or so it would seem. Of course, sub is used rather lightly here, as he seems more to just be hooking up with a few prearranged rules, none of which even begin to test limits like true power exchange. He was completely comfortable with everything, and just approaches a few things that a Master should have the call on with an extreme air of nonchalance, instead of a submissive, apprehensive yet obedient, perspective. The detail is lacking, but the word count is padded. The deeper insights are not something a first-timer would pick up on, unless advised on it directly from the Dominant, such as the "establishing a physical connection" or the observation that the willingness instead of being bound makes it all the sweeter because one is allowing themselves to be under another's power, with the ability to stop it but the self-control not to. The way those concepts are introduced is just overdone on the level of nonchalance, as if it's the first thing anyone learns. It's just not easy to put oneself into the mindset of the character, even compared to other PWP.
