I am about to begin basic soon and I was a bit worried that it was the right desicion to join in the first place. This story,although fiction, has giving me hope for an easier experience in the military period. So thanks for posting such a romantic story, and keep up the good work!!

Peter,
you've written another beautiful but heart wrenching story. Not even qualifying for "rank amateur" status, I've no right to criticise but I wish to make an observation.

At this time many of our brave and beautiful young men in the military are in dangerous situations, far from home and often lonely. They need the positive encouragement that comes with emotional connections that are longer than a few days or weeks. I know that very few soldiers will be reading your stories while on active duty (not safe). Yet I feel that having some of the stories end with positive long term attachments and commitments between the characters would be heartwarming to the guys and to those of us at home who care for them.

This is a scary and lonely time for many of the the guys, often being away from family and friends, many for the first time in their lives so please write something uplifting for them. And if any of the guys happen to read your stories now or even after they leave the military, they will know that they were always in our hearts and minds. They will know that we truly understood their need for emotional attachments during that period of time in their lives. Doing this would be a beautiful thing. Thanks for listening.

This is a story I could keep reading and reading hoping it would never end. I just wish they met one last time and stayed together.. Hated to seem em part agian..lol
