review of Wrestle and Fuck, 2010-02-09

I was excited when I was assigned to review Wrestle and Fuck. The online gay porn world has needed another good wrestling site for a long time. There's just not enough out there to satisfy gay wrestling fetishists. And Wrestle and Fuck looks hot. It looks like the real deal – two masculine guys on the front page, wearing boxing gear and sparring.

The men of Wrestle and Fuck are hot – masculine men in their twenties and thirties, ranging from athletic to well-built muscle men and bodybuilders. Most of the men appearing on the site are Hungarian, and in fact, Wrestle and Fuck is the brainchild of director and gay porn star Roland Dane (himself born in Budapest, Hungary), photographer Attila G, and cameraman Sacanny. Roland Dane was a Thai boxer for many years and he had a long-standing fantasy of defeating another man in a sweaty sparring session; and his prize was getting to top his defeated companion, making him service his big, uncut cock in whatever way Dane pleased.

So each scene begins this way: two men boxing or wrestling on the mats, building up a sweat and the testosterone begins to flow. The sparring lasts for a few minutes, and then, the winner forces the loser to offer up his butt for some hot and sweaty fucking.

Wrestle and Fuck has the potential to be a great gay wrestling porn site. First and foremost, the site is small, however they just opened on the 10th July 2008 so regular updates it should grow quickly.

The videos on Wrestle and Fuck are only available as Flash streaming files on the site. There are no video downloads, and in fact, the site has disabled right-clicking, so you can't even save your favourite the photos. I hate it when sites do this because all a surfer has to do is disable Javascript in their browser, and presto! - you can save photos. So why bother making it difficult for surfers to enjoy your content offline?

The videos are a decent screen size at 510 x 380 and they're reasonably clear. But the problem with Flash videos is that unless they are very good quality they tend to fall apart and pixelate when there's a lot of movement in the frame. So when I was watching some close-up fucking, the picture quality degrades irritatingly with some pixelation.

The site currently costs $19.95 monthly for a recurring membership, and this isn't bad considering the amount of content available. I think as soon as Wrestle and Fuck falls into a schedule of regular updates, then the site will really begin to take off.

My final thought on Wrestle and Fuck is that it's not what I was expecting. I was hoping for an amateur gay wrestling site featuring guys who are really into wrestling and fighting. But Wrestle and Fuck features gay porn stars and models, some of whom really don't know how to wrestle. Some of the men do, but others are just thrown around like a scarecrow and don't really know how to fight back. I think the best thing that Wrestle and Fuck director could do is to hire some real gay amateur wrestlers, turn on the camera, and resist the urge to direct - allow the guys who are really turned on by this scene to do their thing. And then, continue to seek out amateur guys who really love doing this. It'll make for a much better site in the end and gay wrestling fetishists will love it.

Wrestle and Fuck is an original idea for a gay porn site and it should do well with some more content and regular updates. The monthly membership fee is reasonable for the amount of content available and the photos and videos are of good quality and sizes. The site does update regulary, so I have hopes that it will continue to grow. With 7 wrestling videos, 9 behind the scenes vids and 25 pic sets, there's enough to spend some time with. Wrestling fans are going to want to take a look, and in spite of the site's shortcomings it's still definitely worth a look.
