Vintage Bareback is an unusual site. It's sort of a blog, but with a VIP area where members can watch classic gay videos. The free section includes trailers, posters and pics of porn from the 60's, 70's and 80's, and there's also info, descriptions and plenty to read - and all about classic porn. There's some very hot stuff here, and if you're into X-rated blogs, you'll probably like the free area. While there's not a lot of details regarding number of videos and formats available, members get full access to two bonus sites. Ready to learn more? The Vintage Bareback member area is called the VIP ROOM, and there's a link to it near the top of the page near the middle of the nav bar. There you'll find listings to videos and galleries, the vids clearly marked. There are no update dates in the VIP ROOM, but you can find some of the dates on the site's home page, although it does take some searching. It seems that the site recently updated a couple times a week, but I don't think updates are done on a schedule. There are currently 34 videos and 51 photo sets.

The videos are offered in streaming Flash, and are shown at about 476x320. Keeping in mind that these are vintage videos, they're actually pretty good. Each one is a full scene from the golden age of porn, and they play smoothly. Some of the videos are older than others, some slightly yellowed but in full color, and others in black and white, sometimes with no sound. Some videos are full scenes, and none are offered for download.

Vintage Bareback also offers members 51 galleries, and these have some interesting goodies. I found galleries with scans of classic gay men's porn magazines from back in the day - not just a page or two, but many pages, sometimes including a magazine cover as part of the gallery. There's also scans of a '76 calendar featuring some very hot guys of the time, and also all the pics from Butch Magazine issue 11. There are even a handful of pics from the late 1800s. Each photo is shown on a page at a reduced size, but a lot of them are actually around 600x800, although some are smaller. Since the pics are scans of older magazines, quality isn't as good as modern porn, but I think classic porn lovers are going to really like these.

The content here is all classic gay porn, and that means pre-condom action among other things. The guys are a mix of twinks, the hunks of the day and pornstars like Jack Rambler and Bruno. There's a BDSM flick or two, some older/younger content, outdoor sex, bodybuilders, sex in a car and basically variety for those who love men from the 60's through the 80's. While the collection isn't huge, I like what it had to offer, including a porn video starting with a slideshow of Warhole's star, Joe Dallesandro.

In addition to the blogs in the free section, Vintage Bareback members also get access to 2 other sites in the same network - Lavender Lounge and Muscle Bear Cub. Both sites offer videos and pics, and include some exclusive content.

Does this site have any issues? Well, the links to Movies don't work, and I found that the pages took a while to show up, although the videos seemed to load fairly quickly. As already mentioned, the dates for updates aren't listed with the member content - they do appear in the free section, but you'll have to look through the other posts to find them.

Vintage Bareback delivers some classic gay videos and pics I haven't seen before in a site. I particularly like the pic sets which are scans from magazines, and also the 1880's photos, and the videos are all hot and feature the types of bodies and hair styles from years gone by. The videos are fair sized, and not bad quality for vintage, but they aren't offered for download, and it's difficult to find the dates when this site updates. Still, if you're looking for classic pornstars, pre-condom sex and pics and videos from 60's through the 80's, Vintage Bareback is worth checking out.
