Video Box Men is a gay video site offering access to 1625 full DVDs - for well under $20. I've never mentioned money or amount of content before in the introduction part of a review, but I think these numbers are pretty impressive. Video Box Men adds a new DVD every single day, and non-members can browse every one of the titles by box cover and a preview thumb for each scene.

This is a lot of gay porn, and the tour says the site has no download limits, no DRM and no hidden charges. It all sounds great, and I can't wait to get inside and check out some of the videos!

The Video Box Men member area is great! Where can I start? It's laid out like the tour, which means you can find videos by category, by studio, by pornstar or just browse through all the DVDs or all the scenes. Every DVD title is listed with a box cover, title, stars, studio and a synopsis of the action as well as the length and size of each video. While there are a few categories with only a few scenes, there are plenty of categories with lots. For example there are 699 bareback scenes and 2845 scenes featuring twinks. The site offers a total of 7533 full scenes, 4585 more than there were on our last visit.

I couldn't wait any longer - I had to see what was new with the videos. And there IS something new because each movie is offered in 3 sizes of WMVs, 2 sizes of downloadable MP4s and a streaming Flash version, as well. The largest WMVs are shown at 720x480 with bitrates around 3.4 Mbps. Most of them look good, sharp and clear, even looking fairly good when enlarged, although some of the vintage and amateur vids aren't as sharp as the studio stuff, but that's the way they were shot. The medium and low resolution movies also look good and all have good quality sound. The larger MP4s are shown at 624x480 at about 1.2 Mbps, and the smaller iPhone version at 320x240 looks excellent on iPhone and iPod Touch. The streaming Flash vids are shown at 640x480 at average quality or better.

I found a truly unusual feature inside Video Box Men. When you go to download a scene, you can choose CLIP MODE. You can drag one of the vidcaps to the box on the left and a later vidcap to the box on the right and the video you download will be the part of the video that takes place between those two thumbs. This is great if you only want to download a particular part of a scene like the cumshot or the blowjob.

Here's another cool feature! If you are checking out the listings by scene and you decide you'd rather check the movies out by DVD title, all you have to do is change the tabs at the top of the listings, and voila! Not only does your listing change to DVDs, but also the search stuff on the left of the page does. And of course it works both ways - if you're browsing through DVD titles and decide you'd rather see the scenes listed, just click the scenes tab.

There is a new features in beta that's worth mentioning. It's a new section called clips. If you don't want to wade through an entire scene or a full DVD to get to the good parts, this is the place to go.

I did run into a couple issues. First, there's now a pre-checked email offer on the join page. The other is the EXTRAS page - the problem is it's not a page of extras; it's a page of ads with no extra features at all. It's misleading, but to be honest, this site is so big that it's not like members need extras.

Video Box Men has a lot to offer - over 1600 full DVDs, more than 7000 full scenes, so many hours of good quality videos, good search features, info about every movie and a new DVD added every single day.
