GayDemon's review of The Great Canadian Male

Today we're taking a second look at a site called The Great Canadian Male which features exclusive videos of amateur guys they find, recruit and catch on video. Not only can you get a look at some of the models on the tour, there are several pics and 8 video samples, each showing the interview with a model and letting us watch him undress. I liked the trailers - they're actually pretty long for samples. You can see that the models are indeed real amateur guys who aren't used to being on camera, and that's hot. I like what I'm seeing, so join me as I take a closer look at the member area of The Great Canadian Male!

The first thing you'll notice is that the member area is easy to navigate. While it's pretty plain, there are no ads or misleading links, and the member home page gets you right to the latest update. There are currently 74 exclusive episodes, which is 61 more episodes than there were 14 months ago - that equals 1 update per week. There are dates on all the episodes, although you have to click to the page to see them. It's worth mentioning here that there have been some improvements in the site, including having the update dates added and the galleries much easier to use.

The videos at The Great Canadian Male are in WMV format. These are full scenes, at from 640x480 with a bitrate of 625k or better to 480x360 at 1.56 Mbps, and quality ranges from amateur to good amateur quality, the videos with the lower bitrates lacking a little sharpness. Sound is good in all the videos, and they play smoothly. I was very happy with the download speeds here as all the videos I downloaded came in at over 1 Mbps. More good news is that the videos are not DRM-protected, so they should play for most Mac users and will continue to play even after your membership has expired.

And let's talk about the pic sets. These are vidcaps of various quality, some of them are good enough to be considered fairly good amateur quality digital stills while others are a bit over average vidcap quality. They're shown at 640x480 and are displayed on the pages below the videos. Each gallery has between 18 and 64 pics that cover most of the action you'll find in the video. While there are no zip files offered, you can right-click and save any pics you like.

I really like the models at The Great Canadian Male. While some sites have "amateur" models who are closer to pornstars, the guys here really are the kind of guys you see at the store, on the street or at the neighborhood pub. The site owner finds naturally friendly guys, so the brief interviews are fun and the models' personalities really come across, but some of the guys get a little hesitant when it comes to taking their clothes off. Some of the videos are full-on hardcore, where others show the guys getting a massage that turns to a handjob, blowjob and some vibrator action before they finally blow their loads. Although I've seen a LOT of videos that claim to be straight guys sucking their first cocks, these guys actually act the way I'd expect a first-timer to act when faced with his first blowjob.

The site had a few issues, although nothing major. When I clicked some of the oldest episodes' pics, instead of pics I got a message saying "You are not authorised to view this resource". Also on the member home page, instead of 2 recent updates and 2 future updates, the site lists the newest update and next update twice each.

If you like real amateur guys - or Canadian men - you're going to like The Great Canadian Male. The site has updated regularly for the past year, now offering 74 exclusive episodes. The videos are downloadable, hot and long enough to get involved in, and the site adds a new episode once a week. The guys are just what amateur-lovers are looking for - normal "guys next door" who just happened to decide to do a porn video for fun. Even better, some are straight and the massage and servicing they get in these videos is their first man-to-man sexual contact.
