I have never used the phrase "total rip-off" in a review and I am not going to use it now. After all, Submissive Males has around 90 photo galleries and I guess that's worth something. But what do you call a site that says on the front page "No Fake Bullshit Here" and promises pictures and movies on the inside, and then, once you are inside, you find:
NO movies. A mediocre collection of photo galleries, and No updates in months (or maybe years).
Words like "Great" and "Outstanding" don't come to mind. Maybe a "trap for the unwary" is more like it. It's just too bad that there is not a Consumer Protection Agency for porn (but I guess that's why we need sites like GayDemon; they expose the frauds and deceptions).
What happened to the movies? Beats me. Movies may have been planned or maybe they actually were on the site at one time. There is a non-working link to "Newest Movie Galleries" and the FAQs discuss media players. But, whatever the case, the front page still promises movies and they are nowhere to be seen.
There is also a non-working link to "Newest Stories."
What the site does have is pictures. The picture galleries are arranged in categories - "Bondage", "Sexual Domination", "Roleplay" and so forth. The galleries vary in size - a gallery may have less than 20 pics or more than 120. Some of the models are good-looking, some not. Some of the action is fairly hot, some not. Some of the photos look familiar, some don't. In short, the photo galleries are just so-so at best.
And updates? Under the updates link, there is a heading: "Material added during the last 90 days": followed by a big blank space. And the site news link shows that the latest entry was added on February 16, 2005. I went to one of Submissive Males' sister sites (the owners run several straight sites) and I found frequent and recent updates (including MOVIES). So I will let you draw your own conclusions about Submissive Males' updates.
At GayDemon we always try to give gay pornsites the benefit of the doubt. Running pornsites can be a lot of work and we want to show our appreciation whenever possible. But with Submissive Males it's just not possible!
Things we liked:
- Pic sets seem to be exclusive
- All pic sets are BDSM or fetish related
Things we didn't like:
- Site does not update
- Links that don't lead anywhere
- Entire missing video and story sections

How do people get away with this? And some bitch about how the government is screwing the internet? What about these webmasters who promise the moon, deliver a half eaten banana instead? grrrrrrrrr
