GayDemon's review of Straight Goes Gay

Straight Goes Gay is a site featuring exclusive content of curious straight amateurs who decide to try gay sex for the first time. Some of the guys don't seem all that straight, and since all of them are supposedly calling a gay personal ad, I'd consider these guys more bi-curious than straight. Nevertheless the trailers show some good hard gay fucking and sucking, and I'm all for that. Let's go inside Straight Goes Gay and take a look.

When you log into Straight Goes Gay you will find a short menu on the left and the latest updates on the right. There are some features below the menu and a link to all the videos under the 3 updates on the right. Below that you will find a section called MEMBERSHIP EXTRAS that contains 5 advertising banners, 2 buttons plus links to the plugins to play the movies.

All the updates on the main page and the link to MORE GUYS take you to the same page - the page containing the Straight Goes Gay episode menu. There are 16 exclusive episodes, each shown with a preview thumb, a synopsis of the action plus links to MOVIES and IMAGES. Let's check out the movies first.

When you click on a video link on the episode listings you are taken to a page with a bunch of smallish preview thumbs. Each thumb leads to an approximately 2-minute video clip in WMV format. While I wished that there were either full movies or at least longer clips, something I did like is that members can either stream or download each clip. On the right side of each page is a vertical strip of thumbs. The thumbs all lead to the first page of the pics - more about the pics in a minute.

The movies are shown at 320x240, which is a little on the small side. They all stream at between 330k and 340k, so while they are good amateur quality at their original size, if you go full screen with them, expect a noticeable lack of video quality. All the videos have good sound and play fairly smoothly.

The pics are an interesting situation. Yes, they capture the action very well. Unfortunately it appears that the photographer doesn't have very steady hands. The pics are blurry - a few so blurry they look like they were shot with a special effect. Several sets are the original size they were shot with the camera. That means BIG. We're talking 1536x2048 and around a full MB download. Sadly the pics are just not high enough quality but they are definitely worth checking out.

If you want to get back to the login page from the video pages, you must find the tiny - and I mean hard-to-see small - link at the lower left corner of the blue table that says "Back to the Library Index". That will take you back to the home page.

I found Straight Goes Gay a lot less realistic than similar sites. Somehow the photographer is there when the seducers are sleeping, when they come home from running - it seems very staged to me. These nervous first-timers who answer a personal ad for their first gay experience are fine with a photographer and a camcorder in the room even though this isn't gay for pay. SURE, they are ;) Luckily the sex is real and these are not short videos so there's plenty of cock-sucking, ass-pounding sweaty hardcore. If you don't care that the guys are rather obviously actors, this site could keep you... er... busy.

Now let's talk about all the stuff in that menu on the left side of the pages. GALLERY takes you to a page with several pic collections. These are all pic sets from a large and well-known content provider and the chances are if you surf porn, you've seen them before. XXX VIDEOS is a page full of leased bonus sites and plugin feeds. There are all sorts of different content here, from bears to athletes to toons to masturbation. There is no theme here but you will find some good stuff like Fratmen and Street Bait.

The PHOTO ALBUMS are pretty much more of the same as GALLERY. The pic sets are mostly sets I've seen a lot and the difference here is these pic sets are grouped by category. The ARCADE had a bunch of links to games but none of them worked. The SUPPORT page was obviously a common page for a number of sites but did include contact info and a number of useful topics. Last is the WHAT'S NEW page, which shows the recent updates for all the plugins. The page was last updated a week ago.

Straight Goes Gay offers only 16 episodes and there is no indication whether or not the site updates. The videos are smallish at 320x240 but they are good amateur quality and fast to load. The pics have issues but they are huge and well-chosen. There is a rather random collection of bonus sites and feeds that give members a lot more gay porn. I think $39.73 is pretty darned expensive for a site with 16 videos that may or may not update. Why not check out Straight Goes Gay and see what you think - they do offer a trial membership, although they don't mention if it is a limited trial. My guess is that it is.
