GayDemon's review of Sean Mathieu

If you like French guys and real amateur men, here's a site you might find right up your alley. It's called Sean Mathieu, and that's the name of the guy who finds the models, shoots the content and sometimes takes place in the action. The previews on the tour show regular guys-next-door types who seem pretty comfortable in front of the camera as they talk to Sean (mostly in French), suck cocks, jack off or fuck, depending on the video. I like what I see, so join me as I take a look at the member area!

The Sean Mathieu member area gets right to business. When you log in, you're on the first of several episode listing pages, each with an embedded (streaming) video and links leading to video downloads in 2 formats, and links to pics (if any). The site currently offers 28 videos and 18 pic sets, but a couple videos are missing, so let's call it 26. While there are no dates anywhere, I first saw this site just over 2 months ago, and since then the site has added 1 video and 1 pic set.

The videos here are offered in 3 formats - WMV, Quicktime and Flash. For some videos the WMVs and Quicktimes are offered in 2 or more parts, and in some they are full scenes. The WMVs I downloaded ranged from 720x480 at 1.59 Mbps to 1080x720 at around 5 Mbps, and the Quicktimes were similar sizes but with somewhat lower bitrates. While quality was okay, some of the videos are quite large - one is 1.9 gig, and would have taken me well over an hour to download on fast broadband. The Flash videos are embedded, although not actually streaming, and are shown small at 240x220, and at amateur to fairly good amateur quality depending on the video. There's a place for iPhone/iPod videos, but there are no actual videos there yet.

There are 17 pic sets, as not all the videos come with pics. The pics here range from 450x600 to 600x800 in size, and quality varies from amateur to pretty good, although I did run across some pics that had an issue - weird colored stripes running across them. The galleries offer thumbs on the left and the big pic on the right, and while there are no downloadable zip files, you can right click and save the pics you like. Each gallery can be watched as a slideshow if you want to keep your hands free. In some of the pic sets, the guys seem just a little squeezed in, and I expect they are being saved out of aspect ratio like the videos. It's not bad, really, but if you're picky you will notice it.

The Sean Mathieu models are French, mostly slender and vary in type from fresh and cute to regular guy next door. The action includes solo jackoff scenes, 2 guy fucking and sucking and sometimes group action. The guys seem into the action, but also into being in front of the camera, which is a plus. There's less closeups than in most sites - in fact, at least one of the videos seems to have been shot on a tripod because there's no shakiness or zooming. And in some of the videos the video camera does get closer, but not that much closer.

Now, here's a weird thing. Sean Mathieu offers members one bonus site, but the bonus site - which only offers 7 videos - offers 7 of the SAME videos that are inside Sean Mathieu. On the other hand, those videos are watermarked with the name of the bonus site. Confusing, no? Since there are no videos inside the bonus site at this time that aren't included in the main site, I don't consider it an actual bonus.

I had a couple issues here. One is those missing videos, and the other is that after I'd been downloading for a while, I'd get a message that simply said "for o for" instead of a video, and was unable to download any videos after that. Also something I found annoying is that when I logged in, it opened in a new browser so that the old browser could open a review site, which means the site is trying to sell paying members subscriptions to other sites.

Sean Mathieu features exclusive pics and videos of mostly french amateurs jacking off or sucking and fucking. Some are "casting" videos where others are considered full scenes, and all the videos are downloadable and DRM-free. There are 26 videos and 17 pic sets listed, but a couple of the videos are missing, bringing the total down to 25. The site has added 1 video and 1 pic set in the last two months, and while there is a bonus site listed, the bonus site has the same content as this site. There's no interaction with Sean - no blog, chat or anything like that, but the videos are hot. If you like real amateurs and french guys, and don't mind smaller sites, Sean Mathieu is worth checking out.
