GayDemon's review of Raw Papi

Raw Papi puts the focus on latin guys in condom-free hardcore action. And judging by the tour, there's lots of action from guys sucking on cocks to getting fucked bareback and shooting their loads. The join page promises us exclusive content and downloadable full-length WMV videos. It's been over a year since our last visit, so let's log into Raw Papi and get a closer look at whats been happening since we last visited the site.

Here's one thing that hasn't changed. When you log into Raw Papi, you are first taken to a page with a big fat ad for another site on it. Don't worry - there's a link at the bottom of the page that will take you to the Raw Papi member area.

The Raw Papi member area is simple to use but very plain, with navigation links at the top of the pages and 6 episodes listed per page. The site currently offers members 27 exclusive videos, each with a set of pics. Each episode is listed wit a big thumb, title, and number of images, but don't worry - each episode does include video, even if it doesn't look that way. There are no model profiles, no dates showing when the updates were added to the site and only 5 more episodes added in the last 13 months.

The videos here are WMVs shown at 720x480 with a bitrate of 1.66 Mbps. What that means is that the videos are large and pretty good quality. You can watch them in an embedded player or download them, and since the videos use no DRM, Mac users can watch the vids and whatever you download will continue to play after your membership has expired. There's also a lower quality version of each video, but since these are shown at 480x352 @ 942k, and are a bit jerky, I suggest you go with the Hi Bandwidth versions of the videos. One thing worth mentioning is that when you go to an episide page, it may look like there are only Lo Bandwidth videos, but when you click on Videos, you will see two sizes are available.

Each episode also comes with a set of pics containing anywhere from 6 to over 100 pics. The photos are good amateur quality digital stills shown at 533x800, and most sets show the condom-free action pretty well, but some of the sets are shown out of order - one I just checked out has the cumshots on the first page. The galleries have no features - there's no slideshows, downloadable zip files - but each pic can be viewed and downloaded at 1800x1200.

The Raw Papi performers are all latin men who seem to be in their twenties. There's a variety of types from slender twinkish guys to hunks, and most of the guys seem to be amateurs. All the shoots I checked out were hardcore and bareback, featuring condom-free oral and anal action, and showing the cumshots pretty well. The videos aren't too heavy on plot, but that only means there's more focus on the sucking and fucking.

There were a few things I found a little annoying about this site. First, there's a pre-checked offer on the join page, so be sure it interests you before you join. Next is that when members log into the site, they are taken first to a "pass through" page with a great big ad on it and a small link at the bottom of the page to continue to the member area. The other thing is that all the extra features in the menu - the live cams, bonus videos and V.O.D. sections - require payment to get access to the full features, although some of the live cams have limited free chat.

Raw Papi gets a bit of a mixed review. First off, the good stuff. The guys are amateur latin men and the action is 100% bareback, the videos are good quality and downloadable and the content is exclusive. On the other hand, the with 27 episodes total, the site could use some growth, but while there are no update dates, the site has only added 5 videos in over a year. Also there's no bonus content - although there's a misleading bonus videos page. And while it wasn't a problem, I didn't care for the ad page when members first log in. And last, the site could use some personality. The pages are plain, there's no blog and no info about the models or narrative from the photographer about the shoots. Still, if you're looking to download videos of latin guys sucking cock and fucking bareback, Raw Papi is worth checking out.
