Lately we've been seeing more gay video sites popping up. For those of us who like a lot of porn in various niches rather than a limited amount in one niche, these sites offer a lot more bang for the buck. After all, today I might want to see straight guys jacking off but tomorrow I might want to see a twink threesome and the next day maybe some hot guys in leather. Since variety is the spice of life, let's go check out Pride Mov, a gay video archive that seems to have a lot to offer.

Pride Mov features 479 full DVDs, which means over 2000 individual scenes. You can search by title, by the name of one of the stars, by niche or studio. You can also browse the most downloaded DVDs or scenes on the site or the highest rated videos - or you can do what I did and click All DVDs and browse them all. While you can't search all the individual scenes like you can in Gay Video Box, Pride Mov definitely gives members a lot of search options.

Something I like about Pride Movs is that the videos are available in 3 formats - WMV, MPG and DIVX (AVI). Also in case you're on slow broadband or ISDN, you'll be happy to know that there is a low res version of each WMV. What I didn't love was the the movies can't be streamed and are done in an automatic download - which my firewall automatically blocked so I had to give permission for each download.

Most of the hi res WMVs are 640x480 and stream at between 750k and 824k. The quality is pretty good but the videos weren't quite as sharp as they could be - keep in mind that these are movies ripped from DVDs. The MPGs and DivX videos are better quality so they are bigger files and therefore take the longest to download. I didn't notice that they were that much better in quality than the hi res WMVs but you will notice the difference if you go full-screen. The low res WMVs are shown at 320x240 and stream at around 250k.

Some things Pride Mov doesn't offer that some sites do include not offering each scene in clips, no streaming videos and no vidcaps. There are also no reviews by other members to read. They do allow members to rate DVDs so you can see the highest rated or give your favorites a 5 out of 5 but you can't rate a single scene, only the full DVD.

The synopsis of each video reads like marketing text rather than telling you what to expect in each movie. I expect it's the marketing text from the production companies but I would rather have read about what happens in each scene and who stars in it. Luckily each scene has 6 preview thumbs so you can get a good idea of what happens in it.

Some video categories are much better represented than others. There are only 9 DVDs listed under asian and 5 DVDs listed in the spanking category. On the other hand, there are over 200 DVDs listed in the twink section and 250 in the amateur section. Keep in mind that many DVDs are listed in multiple relevant categories.

Pride Mov has a New Releases section, which is handy if you want to see what's new. All videos are listed with the dates they were added to the site, which is very handy. It also shows that Pride Mov updates every single day with a full DVD, which ought to keep members pretty happy.

Pride Mov has a lot to offer if you're looking for downloadable videos in a variety of gay porn categories. There are plenty of anal, solo and twink movies but if you're looking for specific categories like leather, asian or bisexual, you may be disappointed. The movies are good quality and play smoothly once they are downloaded. There are no pics or bonus content but there are over 2000 scenes from DVDs.
