GayDemon's review of Italian Gay

If you are a fan of the Italian guys from hunks to twinks, if you know your Euro-porn or even if you simply like horny hardcore, then you will want to be introduced to Italian Gay. This is a relatively new site from an Italian company that features scenes directed by Franco Minnelli, the well-known Italian porn director who has many titles under his belt for All Male Studios,. among others. Here you've got an exclusive collection of scenes, galleries and a heady mix of amateur guys. It’s all about what Italian men get up to behind closed doors. Sound good? When I first logged in I got something of a surprise: a small network featuring 2 straight sex sites. The link to Italian Gay was in a small box on the right, click that and you find that you'll find yourself where you want to be. The site's home page held sample shots of 2 recent updates, and there is not a lot there to investigate, but the recent videos are listed with the dates they were added. The top menu here is easy to use and simply set out, and when you want to check videos just head to the movie page. There's no way to know how many videos the site offered when opening its doors, however the most recent updates are from 3 to 6 days apart. I’d say it is still a bit soon to say if the tour promise of two updates per week has settled in yet.

The 26 videos are easily located. They are offered in both Flash and Quicktime streaming at 640 x 360 @ 1092 kbps plus 2 smaller sizes. There is also a downloadable version for each movie, an MP4 file that I found played at 720 x 480 @ 2.26 Mbps, and a few of the newest videos have smaller mobile versions, as well Scenes runs for between 14 and 30 minutes, the filming quality is good, as are the sound. All vids are DRM-free full scenes.

Beneath the videos on their viewing page are links to a gallery of screencaps, and for some vids there are links to high resolution images, and link to a medium resolution gallery. There is a neat little slideshow presentation, with four choices of speed, plus thumbnail images of each shot that I could click if I wanted to jump around the set. Screencaps were shown at 740 x 480, and you could tell they were from the video camera, as they had that slight fuzziness. However, there are good quality digital photos in the main photo area where you find 10 sets. These pics are shown at 364 x 500 online, but which are at 795 x 1200 when you download and unpack the zip files.

Most of the action here is one-on-one, with two horny amateur Italian guys in each movie. Some scenes are slower and more erotic, while others feature hard ass-banging, some medical fetish moments, and there's at least one group scene so far. Some guys are smooth and others hairy, some are slender while others are hunky; it’s a nice mix of performers, with some professional, or at least pro-looking, guys in some of the vids. You will find a music soundtrack on some videos which you’ll either find erotic or annoying. Some movies have an intro, a story set-up, while others dive straight in to the kissing and foreplay, but generally: good and standard, tried and tested progressions with a gooey climax.

While there are no gay bonus sites or feeds, members do get access to 2 straight Euro sites from the same network.

Does the site have any issues? Well, I found that when I was downloading a video that pages in the site were very slow to load - and the download slowed down as well, too slow to try a second simultaneous download. I also found logging into the mostly-str8 network was a bit of an inconvenience that might confuse members expecting gay content.

Overall I liked the content at Italian Gay. I also liked the variety of model and of action, and you should also get on pretty well with the various video viewing and download options. The images come with a good choice for viewing, too, and there were no technical problems. If they could log us straight in to the Italian Gay home page rather than the straight network home page, we’d feel a lot more secure. But after that it’s plain sailing around the Med with some nicely erotic and perfectly horny hardcore exclusive scenes. The bottom line - Italian Gay offers well-made, good quality viewing with an Italian twist that's worth checking out.
