GayDemon's review of Hot Muscle Dudes

There's a new muscle site in town. It's called Hot Muscle Dudes and, unlike some bodybuilder sites, features some man on man action as well as solo. While the men I see aren't hardcore bodybuilders or huge muscle men, they are fit and many are the kind of guys you notice in the gym - not massive, but well-muscled. If you're ready, let's log in and see what Hot Muscle Dudes has to offer!

The member area of Hot Muscle Dudes may be familiar to you, as the site is owned by a rather large network. On the left side of the page is the member menu plus a search box that searches through all the sites in the network. The top of the menu includes the content, the next section - called Adult Marketplace - is mostly upsells like DVDs and phone sex, but also has live cams, some of which include some free features. Near the bottom is the customer service section and underneath is an ad.

On the right side of the page is the latest Hot Muscle Dudes update, and below that are links to the 6 bonus sites. Underneath are the latest updates for each of the sites and then the updates for the various feeds. And near the bottom of the page are links to various video players.

If you want to get to the Hot Muscle Dudes content, just click the link that says CLICK HERE TO VIEW ALL MODELS at the bottom of latest update. This will open a new window with the videos and pics for this site.

The new window shows a thumb from each episode, the names of the guy or guys involved, a link to the pics, a link to the vids plus the date that each episode was added to the site. Since this is a brand new site, there are only 10 episodes at this time, and as far as I know the dates are not applicable since the site just opened its doors to the public.

You may have noticed the letters HD on the top of most pages in both the tour and member area of Hot Muscle Dudes. Those letters stand for high definition, the biggest and best quality videos on the web. Unfortunately the HD videos aren't the actual Hot Muscle Dudes videos - they're videos in some of the bonus sites. The 2 most recent videos in His First Huge Cock and Gay College Sex Parties, and the most recent video in His First Gay Sex are HD.

The videos come in 2 sizes - 320x240 in both WMV and Quicktime and 640x480 in WMV. They're all offered in streaming clips with no downloadable versions and the Watch Full-length Movie link on each movie's page leads to pay per view. There is no DRM in use in the Hot Muscle Dudes videos.

Each size comes in 3 speeds: 56k, DSL and broadband. Unless you're on a really slow connection, the broadband speed is the only way to go. They have a bitrate of 543k, which isn't that high quality but looks okay. The DSL speed is 150k, and looks so-so. These vids are slow enough for ISDN and patient dialup users, so only people on slow dialup need to deal with the so-called 56k vids, which are actually 42k and aren't very good quality.

The 640x480 WMVs lack the sharpness and quality I prefer. In reality, they are the same vids as the 320x240s, only stretched out to fit a bigger player. If you prefer a better quality video, go with the 320x240 size - if you prefer bigger, go with the 640x480, but don't expect miracles. The videos here have okay sound, some better than others, with some very audible wind noise in the outdoor vids.

Each video comes with a set of pics, which are digital stills. These are medium sized, shown at around 536x800. They're average porn quality with no issues to detract from the action, although some of the indoor sets could use a little something in the background. The photography is good amateur, capturing most of what you'd like to see, and the photos are available in thumbnailed galleries.

There's a lot of bonus feeds and bonus content inside this site. In addition to the bonus sites in the same network, you'll find plenty of feeds in the Videos, Pictures and Reading Room found on the menu.

Hot Muscle Dudes isn't breaking any new ground, but it's not a bad site, either. The videos are streaming clips, and there is no way to download the videos. Also if you want to watch the full movies, you must pay to view them, which sort of sucks. The pics are digital stills. The latest update is almost 2 weeks ago, so the dates on the current updates may be misleading. There is plenty of both exlcusive and non exclusive bonus content, including some muscle feeds. I didn't find the models all that muscular, but I am a fan of real bodybuilders.
