The first thing I usually do when I review a live cam site is look for the schedule on the tour, but this site doesn't seem to offer a schedule for non-members. Too bad, because the site offers more scheduled live shows than other similar sites - but there's no way to know it just from looking. The tour doesn't look much live a live cam tour at all, but not to worry - I already peeked inside the site and there are definitely cute live twinks inside Hot Cam Bois.

The member area has navigation links across the top of the page, the first one being the link to the cam show. There are also links down the left side of the page and a list of the latest updates on the right. At the bottom of the page is the date/time of the next live show and which model it is going to be - and links so you can see the time in your choice of Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific times.

The first time I went to check out the member area of Hot Cam Bois, I found the model asleep and fully dressed on his bed - and by the way, I laughed my ass off. I decided I'd come back in a couple days and try again. The second time, I lucked out. There were 2 guys scheduled - Devon, who has a cute boy-next-door face and laugh plus a hot body and sexy voice. Riley was scheduled for afterwards but he was late, so Devon very nicely stayed late and talked with all of us. He even stood up and showed us exactly where on his cock he prefers to be licked when someone gives him head. The members who regularly join the chat here are friendly and so is the admin, so I found my chat experience here to be very pleasant and very sexy.

It's worth mentioning that the live video quality was decent, and can be blown up to full screen if you wish, although I'd recommend you first change your monitor resolution to 800x600. The live vids look okay at that size but lower quality at 1024x768. The sound is very good, the videos play nice and smoothly. and the chat works well with no long waits to see what you typed appear on screen. BTW, since for most of the day, the shows are not live, it's probably worth mentioning that there are replays playing in the CAMS section to keep members busy.

There are 100 videos inside the VIDEOS section of Hot Cam Boiz on a page that needs some help in the layout department - and it would also be nice if members could choose to view the videos by model or by date. These all reruns of live shows from the past 2 and a half years. These videos range from 5 minutes to over an hour. While that should make it fairly obvious that not all the live shows are being added to the videos section, there's a lot of vids here, and many are over 30 or even 45 minutes in length.

Most of the videos are shown at a fairly standard cam size and quality of around 22k and 320x240, although some of the older ones have a bitrate of 150k. While these are amateur quality, it's what you expect from a site like this. The exception is the oldest vids. The oldest vids are jerky with not many frames per second - actually probably around no more than 1 or 2 frames per second. Luckily there aren't that many videos like those, and the others are pretty smooth whether you stream or download and play them.

What it comes down to as far as the videos is this: If you love watching cute twinks stroke their cocks in front of their computers, as well as type and talk to the guys who were watching online when each vid was broadcast, you'll probably enjoy these videos. On the other hand, if you're the kind of guy who prefers high quality, very professional movies, Hot Cam Bois may not be the site you're looking for.

There is a pic section called MODEL GALLERIES, and imagine my surprise to discover that the models in these 12 whopping galleries are not the models in the live shows - and in fact, aren't even exclusive to the site. The pics are fairly good quality and presented at a smallish size and some of the sets have 10 or less pics although some are bigger.

There are 14 live shows scheduled this week, and are generally between 14 and 16 shows on the schedule. Often 1 or 2 of the models have to cancel, though, which still leaves us with at least 12 shows per week. We based the score for size of site primarily on the live shows themselves since there is a good number of them.

Now we come to some of the issues I had with Hot Cam Boiz. The bonus content is nothing of the sort. It's actually a link to pay per view videos and should be linked honestly for paying members. Also the top of most of the pages in the site say "LIVE! 24/7 STREAMING CAMERAS WITH SOUND!", which isn't true as there are around 15 live shows per week there is no mention of other live cams.

Unlike many live cam houses, here are no models you can watch 24/7 here and - perhaps surprisingly - this is one of the few sites that doesn't link to a 24/7 live cam sites that charge money for any sex but lets members talk free to the guys while they have their undies on. At least that way the site would have live feeds with chat all the time, as the top of the pages claim. And the pages here aren't laid out to look full and inviting - most pages seem somewhat unfinished.

A couple last issues here - the update list on the main page either doesn't include the newly added vids on the video page or the page hasn't updated in a while. With a site that has over 10 live shows per week, I don't think it would be asking too much to have at least 1 of those shows added per week and listed on the updates list. And last is a navigation issue. Most of the pages don't have links back to the member home page.

Despite the issues listed above, and there is quite a collection of them, I like Hot Cam Bois. There is a nice selection of cute models, the live shows play smoothly and the sound is good stuff. Okay, it's true that I did actually watch one guy - I think it was Noah - sleeping on camera and another show I tried to watch was cancelled, but this site still has more scheduled live chats than most other sites and I liked the vibe of the regulars and the admin folks. If you like live cam shows featuring horny twinks and college types jacking off live, Live Cam Bois is worth checking out.
