A Buck is a Buck..
And for a couple or less, you can download a video to watch all you want. You are in the driver's seat here at Hornyboytv. An interesting concept where they list videos, you select which you want, pay the fee associated, download and that is it, you are done.

No recurring charges, no worrying about hidden fees, or about having to remember to cancel a membership as there simply isn't one. You pay for what you want, and yes the prices are reasonable. For orders of $5 or less, there is a $.050 charge but many places in the real world won't even let you charge anything under $5, so this isn't a downer.

Consider that Video on Demand charges anywhere from $9 to $15, or more, to watch a video that at best you can only view for 30 days, this is a bargain. It is like buying the Video but paying under $10 for each one. Sort of like a huge sale for designer pants, at thrift prices.

In short I like the idea here.

That said, there are some teething problems that I hope they work out.

One of my pet peeves is those who use text like it is inconsequential to a site. Instructions for example need to be clear and above all else, readable.

White on Black, Black on White are best, but Orange on Black? Nope, sorry don't cut it and there is a lack of clear cut directions upon entering the site. However, it is an intuitive site, so that isn't really a major headache, because you can easily figure it out.
What is available isn't huge right now, and I am hoping that it has regular updates available because this is a good concept, one I prefer. I always like things where I am in more control than the site owner. That is very true here. You get some screen caps of what is in the videos, but no galleries of pictures. That isn't what the site is about, though I wouldn't mind some crisper and clearer scene views to help me decide which video I want to own. The files are large, and that is expected. I had no issue in downloading them, as I am on cable. Dial up would be a problem, but not insurmountable.

The videos require iTunes, which I had, but not as my default. In fact the video defaulted to my DVD/CD burner player, Nero. Not an issue as I simply selected iTunes to play the file instead.

I didn't enjoy the iTune experience, so I switched to play the video on my Windows Media Player 12 (I think) and I enjoyed that much better. The quality was enhanced using the windows player versus the iTunes player. Could simply be my settings, and not to worry on that score.

The process is not complicated either. You make your choices, checkout like any normal purchase online requires, then you get a confirmation screen. Once that is completed, you will receive an email detailing your order, and a link to download the file.
Again, keep in mind these are large files.

The download proceeded just fine. You don't have forever to accomplish the task, but why would you need forever? 72 hours is the time allotted to complete your download, something you should keep in mind. I have questions, such as how do they handle support, what happens if you forget to initiate the download in the required 72 hours? These are things I didn't check into, though I would say that from what I did check into, the support seems on top of the job. Other than being hard to read, bit dark in color (black background actually) this is a different direction for a site to take. It offers you the product you want, the ability to own it right off without a huge expense, and for me, that is a huge plus.

It costs nothing to visit, as you get to see it all. They have a short test video to download, to make sure you can enjoy their videos, which was a nice touch. It allowed me to know in advance, that I was going to have a bit of an issue which I was able to solve before I downloaded an actual video. Kudos for that forethought. It is what makes a site more enjoyable, the anticipation of problems and how to correct them.

As I said the selection isn't overly large, but nice. There is something for everyone too, mostly twink but some bear too, judging from a few of the titles. You do get a chance to rate the videos as well. I like that, finding out what others think about a video. Makes it less commercial, if you know what I mean.

They do break the products down to categories too, which helps make the selection process easier. All in all I'd say there was a lot of thought that went into developing this site.

The shopping cart process is simple, clear and easy to follow. It is easy to choose a title, then continue with your browsing. One note, I only downloaded one offering, so the actual download process might be different when you have multiple titles to download.

Now if they'd just change the text color, make it easier to read, I'd be as happy as a pig in clover.

One other plus, you aren't bombarded by an array of upsell ads. There are some, but they more or less relate to the product being sold, so for me it isn't a problem. I like that it is clearly a site about downloading videos, no other distractions or so called bonus features.

Things we liked:

• Plenty of self suck vids
• Good sized collection of vids
• Reasonable prices per video
• No DRM used

Things we didn't like:

• Vids could be bigger
• No descriptions of the videos
