HomoBlow Review

HomoBlow opened over three years ago, and we reviewed the site when it first opened, but it's been three years so it's definitely time for a new visit. The site claims to offer daily updates and the "Hottest Pornstars in the World", among other things. Those sound like some big claims, and there have been some major changes, some good, some not, so join us as we take a new look at HomoBlow.

The guys sucking and fucking here are mostly Eastern European guys in their twenties. Some are a little on the twink side, others a little more like jocks. Some of them are probably Latin, but without model profiles or scene descriptions it's hard to say by looks alone. The guys tend to be smooth, clean shaven, and sporting uncut cocks. However I did see a handful of guys with hairy chests. That being said, I didn't see any porn stars here. The guys here are amateurs or guys who appeared in several pornos but who never made a name for themselves.

The action is a mix of condom and bareback fucking, and the guys get into lots of dick sucking and even rimming before they fuck. It's all indoor action with the performers mostly fucking in duos, although there are a handful of threeways and even a couple of small groups. The guys are doing it on couches and beds, in living rooms and bedrooms. Notably there are five scenes where the models are wearing female wigs are servicing their scene partners, and I also saw a couple of guys in leather taking care of beefier men wearing masks. But these are exceptions; by far most of the action is your standard sucking and fucking with guys blowing their cum loads all over each other.

When we reviewed HomoBlow over three years ago, the site offered over 1,200 videos, but it turns out that most of these scenes were leased. That means that when HomoBlow ended their leasing arrangement, it left them with 63 videos, which is where the inventory stands for now. I talked with someone who works for the site, and they said they have purchased around 1,000 new scenes, but it's going to take some time to get the videos processed and ready for members.

But there is a bit of good news. The site now offers downloadable videos, which they didn't three years ago. Each of the 63 scenes is available in DRM-free MP4 format, and the downloads are available at three sizes from 854x480 to 1920x1080. Quality is all over the map; some of the scenes are decent, not crisp but fine to watch, but some of the largest sizes had noticeable interlacing that I found distracting. You can also stream the movies in three speeds that play in an adaptable player, which means the viewing size will adjust according to the size of your screen. The quality of the videos varies. Some scenes are fine at full screen while others are not, some scenes are better produced, and some are older and were shot at a smaller size than they're being displayed and lack sharpness and clarity - it's a real mixed bag. I watched a couple of the movies on my Android phone and they played fine.

HomoBlow didn't have picture galleries when we last reviewed it, but it does now. There are 63 photo sets, one for each video, and they offer 50 to 200 screencaps each. They are large with sizes varying up to 3888x2592, and they're average to good amateur quality. You can save them individually or download entire sets in zip files. And the picture viewer has a hands-free slideshow feature if you want to sit back and enjoy the show.

This site doesn't offer extras or bonuses, and there are no scene descriptions, model names or details about the performers. Below each video are thumbs leading to related videos, although they're often related only in a general sense. There used to be linked tags on these pages, but the site has removed them. However there is an advanced search feature that allows you to search by keyword.

There are some more downsides.  There's a pre-checked offer on the billing page that, if left checked, will sign you up for a second site membership when you join this site. The non-recurring month membership costs $10 more a month than the recurring month. The site makes several claims on their tour that just aren't met. There are no daily updates, no exclusive content, no 4K videos, and while some of the guys might have been regular porn performers, they're not the "hottest porn stars". Video quality could, in many cases, be better.

HomoBlow was a bit of a disappointment this time around. It used to be a good-sized gay porn site with over 1,100 streaming videos from a variety of studios featuring a wide variety of performers, but terminating a video lease has left them with only 63 videos to download, stream and watch on your mobiles. This wouldn't be a problem if they were exclusive and high quality, but they aren't. The site has said that they've purchased new content but it'll be a couple of months before it starts appearing on the site. You may want to wait until that happens.
