GayDemon's review of Hidden Gay Cams

Hidden Gay Cams has a very amateur feel right off the bat, which isn't really a turn off when you consider that the name of their game happens to be voyeur action. On the other hand, the member's area is very plain and simple - maybe too plain - with the Hidden Gay Cams content highlighted to set it apart from the Bad Puppy network links.

Since this is a site that is obviously run by an porn enthusiast as opposed to a big company, I can let a few organization issues slide - the video galleries don't really a unified format from video to video. One video is WMV, the next is AVI, some clips are MPGs and so it goes, and it looks a bit messy. It also doesn't feel like a hidden cam site - most voyeur sites don't offer HD videos, and you also don't get different angles of the action. So think of this as an amateur gay porn site and you'll be more on the money.

There are 22 videos listed here, with a mix of exclusive and DVD content. Several of the DVDs actually offer several scenes, so there are actually 38 videos total. The best quality videos are the ones labeled HD - those come in at 1280x720 and 4 Mbps, another video was very small at 320x240 and 700k, and yet another was 480x360 and 500 kbps. I found some WMVs, some AVIs, some MPG clips and even a couple of Real videos. The HD videos do look great, but they are few and far between the other types of videos. It's hard to know what you're getting when you download it - and that cuts into my enjoyment of Hidden Gay Cams.

The photo section is an organizational mess as well - there are just text links to all of the galleries, and they're grouped in alphabetical order, as opposed to being put into sections by niche. There are 250 + galleries here, although that number is skewed by the fact that they list their different photo size galleries as completely separate entries. The photos really vary in size and quality - most of them are good amateur quality, and have 100 + photos per set. The photo sizes themselves can range from tiny 400 px things to whopping 1400 px beauties. There aren't any bells and whistles here, so no zip downloads or slideshows. There is a nice amount of voyeur photos here that do indeed look like they were taken from a hidden cam - nice to see.

Hidden Gay Cams is part of the Bad Puppy network, and if you don't know what that means, prepare yourself - you get a ton of bang for your buck, even if Hidden Gay Cams is not exactly the cream of the crop. You see, Bad Puppy is a HUGE site full of exclusive content, bonus content, 105 additional sites in pretty much every niche you can imagine, along with other nifty extras like video reviews, voyeur cams, magazine feeds, and bonus videos.

I'm not a big fan of Hidden Gay Cams for a few reasons - I was expecting to see mostly voyeur content given the name. However I was treated to a few nice HD videos, some DVD content, and exclusive videos of various quality. The organizational issues got to me after awhile, and it would be great if they could have a more cohesive arrangement of both videos and photos. Also, I have no idea how often Hidden Gay Cams updates - so the issue of the content count not being that big comes into play. That part is taken care of by the Bad Puppy network, but in my opinion Hidden Gay Cams needs a lot more work to stand on its own.
