"Muscles, masculinity and and hung studs" - that is what Handy Studs says they have to offer. The guys on the tour do, indeed, seem to have all of that. I recognize most of these hunky men because they are pornstars - straight pornstars. And unlike most straight guy sites, these guys make a living fucking girls - that's probably as straight as it gets. What's cool here is we get to see them go solo and stroke those famous porn cocks for us. Sound good? I sure think so! I'm off to the member area of Handy Studs to take a closer look.
The member area here is clean and easy to use. There are navigation links across the top of the page. Underneath on the left are the most recent updates and on the right is a poll and below is an ad for sperm production pills. There are no dates on the updates and there's no dates telling us when to expect new videos to be added.
Before we get to the content, I want to talk about something I like about the site and something I think is just silly. What I like is the men. They are hunky "real men" types and they're all fucking hot. Also most are name pornstars - I found Anthony Hardwood, Deshaun Hayes, JR Langdon, Joey Ray, Herschell Savage and Tyler Knight inside Handy Studs. Now the silly part - whoever wrote the text descriptions doesn't seem to have a clue that these guys are pornstars or about much of anything. Too bad - I'd have loved to see real info about the models! Now let's get to the numbers.
Handy Studs offers 36 videos. The original videos were the 11 hunky straight pornstars in solo videos. Unfortunately the most recent updates are just regular non-hunky gay sex videos, listed as "Bonus Content" but listed with the main videos. The original solo videos include interviews are done by a woman who also seems to be the director. That's what helped me figure out that at least some of the solo videos here are from a particular porn DVD. And the newest videos are also from DVDs, so don't expect any exclusive content here.
There are 6 video options inside Handy Studs, but let's start with the biggest and the best - the FULL SCENE download. These videos are WMVs that have a screen size of 720x480 with a bitrate of 2 Mbps. That means they look good and you can go full screen with them without much loss of quality. There are 3 more sizes of WMV - a pretty good quality 700k version and 2 versions suitable for dialup or IDSN use. For those on Macs or who just don't care for WMVs for some reason, there are 2 MPG versions of each movie - 650k at 352x240 and a 350k version shown at 240x160.
There are some things to like about these videos. They play smoothly - although don't expect miracles out of the lowest quality vids - and all of these movies have good sound quality. They can be streamed or downloaded to add to your collection, and since they don't use DRM, you can watch them forever.
Each vid comes with a set of pics. These are vidcaps and can be browsed or downloaded in a zip file, although that zip file doesn't unzip using Winzip. I did get it open using Winrar, however.
You want bonus content? Handy Studs members get access to 7 original gay sites as well as a huge network of straight porn for those who are "straight curious". The extras page also has a list of gay feeds from bears to twinks. I was unable to get any of these feeds to work, but that may be because I am using a reviewer login.
Handy Studs is off to a good start. Featuring a small collection of straight pornstars with muscular physiques and hard cocks who jack off for the camera, these videos combine several niches - straight guys, hunks and famous men in action. The best quality vids are good stuff. They're large and can be saved to enjoy again and again as the site uses no DRM. For those on slower connections, there are several more video speeds as well as pics and some gay bonus sites of similar quality, although these are mostly twink sites. handy studs isn't the biggest site around, but it's worth joining if you want to download all the full videos. they are big and look good, and there are enough of them in this site and the others to make it worth while. the videos aren't as good quality as dvds but they're a good add to your collection. too bad the site isn't bigger. i would love to download more of the straight hunks at handy studs!
