GayDemon's review of HDK Central

HDK Central is a new network featuring the pictures and videos of veteran barebacking studio Hot Desert Knights. The tour promises us hundreds of downloadable movies and multiple formats and thousands of photos. It also offers us access to two sites in the same network -- HDK Raw and HDK Men -- as well as a number of other featured bonus sites. HDK Central claims to be the largest bareback porn network and while I've seen bareback networks with more exclusive sites, this one does have a lot of videos and pic sets

HDK Central has an easy-to-use member area with links running across the top of the page followed by a list of all the recent updates. There have been 6 videos and 8 photo sets added in the last 2 weeks, so things are looking pretty good as far as adding fresh content go. Now come it's worth mentioning that HDK Central takes its videos from HDK Raw and its pictures from HDK Men, but it also has a number of other Hot Desert Knights videos including bonus scenes and content from the HDK videos. This adds up to a pretty good sized collection of gay porn.

There are currently 230 videos inside HDK Central, each one offered in 2 downloadable formats plus a streaming version. The High bandwith wmvs are shown at 640x480 with a bitrate of 1.49 Mbps. They look good, play smoothly and don't use DRM so they'll play for you after your membership has expired. The MP4s are made with your iPod in mind, so they're smaller -- shown at 320 x 240 with the bitrate of 499k and these will also play in your Quicktime player.

I always prefer downloadable movies, and was even happier to find that all the movies here are offered as full scenes, but if you're not in the mood to save any movies, each movie is offered in a streaming WMV. These are smaller, shown at 360x288 and the videosare stretched to fit a larger player. The quality isn't as good as the downloadable options.

BTW, HDK Central offers 391 exlusive pic galleries and another 230 sets of vidcaps, one for each video. While they aren't offered in zip files, the galleries offer most of the HDK models in both solo and some hardcore shoots, and there's a hands-free slideshow if you need it.

HDK Central is a good site with plenty of content and updates, but there was one thing I didn't care for. The tour makes it seem that members get access to both HDK Raw and HDK Men. In reality the HDK Raw and HDK Men content is what HDK Central is made of so you don't actually get access to those two sites - just their content. One other thing worth mentioning is that some of the videos here aren't exactly movies. They are the bonus features from the DVDs. Some are videos that show picture galleries, although for the most part, the videos ARE videos.

Overall HDK Central has a lot to offer whether you're into gay porn, barebacking or you're a Hot Desert Knights fan. If you're looking for frequent updates, big downloadable videos and lots of pic sets, this is the place to go, although I admit that the streaming videos could be both bigger and better quality. Members also get access to 9 gay bonus feeds including a bareback feed. The bottom line - whether you're into bareback or HDK, HDK Central is definitely worth checking out!
