GayDemon's review of Gay Site Pass

Gay Site Pass is a five-in-one network that gives access to Bait Buddies, Big Dick Search, Lost in Da Hood, Gay Screen Test, and Gay Amateur Sex. When I first log in, it seems like it just takes you right to the bonus content for some reason. The main sites are listed on tabs on the top of the page, but you would expect them to be featured somewhere else. They're not - the focus is on the bonus content, not the network sites. So I'm clicking to the individual sites to see how that works out. I started at Gay Amateur Sex, and was greeted by a very busy member's area. There is an update area that shows all of the various site updates, and the tabs at the top here do take you into the various member's areas.

There are no dates on the updates, so I'm not entirely sure how often the network adds content. Scrolling down shows the general layout that all the sites share. There are very big clear thumbs for each episode, although honestly I'd have liked to have seen them a wee bit smaller. The episode gives you the options to watch the video or look at the photos. There is a full scene download option and three different speeds of streaming, both WMV. This is where I ran into the next odd issue - the streaming videos are 640x480 and 1.32 kbps, but the downloaded version is only 320x240 and 305 kbps. That is a bit confusing...the quality of the downloaded videos are also very bad, going right along with their minuscule size. Even at the larger size, the videos seem a bit on the blurry side and jerky. This holds true for all of their sites, so hopefully it's something that gets fixed soon.

I also wasn't a big fan of the gallery setups. I did appreciate the fact that you can browse via photos or videos, but when I got to the actual galleries they had this annoying lightbox effect that really didn't do it for me. The pictures were also below average in size at 300x500 on average, and there were around 40 per set.

As far as premise and content counts, Gay Amateur Sex focuses on any gay amateurs they can find, which does make for a good mix of ethnic backgrounds and body types. Unfortunately this is a smaller site at 21 episodes. Bait Buddies is a bait and switch site that lures in straight guys with a hot chick, then replaces said female with masterful gay lips. There are 90 episodes. Big Dick Search is all about giant penis monsters (okay, just big penises...) and there are 35 episodes. Lost in Da Hood features gay interracial with a submissive white guy focus, and has 22 episodes. Gay Screen Test is a gay casting couch site with lots of masturbation and 49 episodes.

One incredibly annoying thing that you should be aware of is the amount of times you have to put in your damn username and password. You'll have to punch it in if you want to switch from site to site (it doesn't transition at all from member's area to member's area) and the first time you fire up a streaming video.

There are a lot of issues with Gay Site Pass. The first is that I really have no idea whether they update or not. The second is that I really don't like their general layout, along with the mile high thumbs that make you scroll an entire page before getting to the next episode listing. Add that on top of the fact that the downloadable videos are small and not very good quality, and there is only one site in the network with a decent content count. Although it's not all doom and gloom with Gay Site Pass, I can think of plenty of other sites that I'd rather mess around in.

• Downloadable videos
• No DRM used

Things we didn't like:

• Content quality is subpar overall
• Downloaded video significantly smaller size and worse quality than streaming
• No idea on update schedule
• No central network hub for easy movement from site to site
