GayDemon's review of Gay POV

You know, I have been surfing gay porn sites for what seems like decades, though in all honesty, it isn't more than a decade or two. The Internet isn't what it used to be. That can be good or bad, depending on your point of view. For me, I like easy access to my porn viewing, I like to get value for my buck as well, and most of all, I want to see what they claim in the tours.

With "gaypov" you do get what they say, but in all honesty, is that enough to warrant the price of $25?

Yes the site is rather plain inside. No, there aren't a gazillion pictures or movies, and is there enough to want me to keep on coming back next month? Short answer is "No".

Even the premise, that the videos and images are taken from the point of view of the what? The photographer? Camera dude? Fact is, there really just isn't the set up, to complete the fantasy. Sure at the start of the video list for each model, there is a blurb, but it just isn't enough to ram home that this is being shown from anyone's "Point of View", least not for my blond head.

Navigation to begin with is simple, so yes it is easy to get around to find the pictures and the movies. However, once you get into the pictures, you are in a new window, so while you can easily return to the main gallery, it's a bit of a pain to have to close the model gallery window.

There are 15 photo sets, which really isn't a lot. Also if you go exploring, you'll find they are stills taken during the video shoot. They don't appear to be done separately either, which frankly is a turn off for me. I mean, why bother if they are already shown in the videos? Which brings me up to that. Today it seems many prefer sites with videos. I suppose its 'cause it's easier to whack off while the video is playing, than to scroll/click thru still photographs. True, but you know, it can be solved by the site having a slideshow option, which this one doesn't have.

As to the videos, well I didn't go thru each one. Not because there are too many either, but simply as the limited models didn't excite me. Again there are very limited number of different model videos. Yes they are hardcore, and you do get to have a choice it seems.

One, is to view the whole movie. Now that is good, because frankly I am not one to flit back and forth between scenes. However you do get that option as well for each movie.

Clicking on a model does bring up a page with centered text explaining the lead in to the video. It is different, to a minor point, for each video but it just seems to be a bit, shall we say extraneous.

They do show you four still scenes from each clip available, though again, not really much difference between the first photo and the fourth one. As to the video clips themselves, well I am sorry, but I am really not interested in something so tame. I mean yes the action is hardcore, sucking and fucking but its done on the cheap. There is no camera man, as he is also the second person in all the photographs and videos. So the camera is generally stuck at one spot.

For $25 a month, I'd expect a little more for my money. I hate to see the camera in many of the photographs, as well as in the video itself. Then too, I also really think its chintzy to give direction to the model and include that in the video. Doesn't exactly help my mood to jerking off, and let's face it, isn't that why we spend money to join these porn sites? To get off?

Stopping of action to change the camera doesn't cut it either. In addition, with no camera operator, some of the action becomes blurred. Again, not what I'd expect for my money. It would be like spending $10 to go watch a movie and have the scenes blurred or out of focus, and sitting watching the movie from only one or two angles.

The tours promise a lot, and even the site title gives you a mental picture that frankly doesn't make it when you actually see the site. This is just cock sucking and butt fucking. The grunts and groans are real, but you know, after several minutes of seeing the same angle of a cock stuffing an asshole, it wears really thin.

Then too the obvious flash of a camera during the video is another turn off for me. I mean, really that is kind of doing things totally on the cheap. While if your interest is just in seeing some cock being sucked, some ass being stuffed, well okay you can get that here, and the site layout is clean and relatively easy to navigate, but is it worth the price of admission?

For me, sorry, but no thanks. I'd rather spend the $25 at the bar and try to pick up someone, than spend the night going through the content on this site.

Yes there is a bonus site, but I would prefer a site that is rich in content, making a bonus site unnecessary. In this case, its needed as there just isn't a lot. A day or two and you will have seen it all, and as to updates, well, good question. While the first page in the site tells you the latest news, it doesn't tell you when the site was last updated or when it will be next updated. So, why would I stick around for another $25 if there is say only one update a month? If that, and no, I don't know if they update once a month or not, they don't say.

The bonus site is also available separately and you can read my review on that site. However let me say, that is this isn't worth the $25, I can tell you now that the free bonus site isn't worth being Free either.

Bottom line, I'd have to say you can find better for $25 unless you are really impressed by the actual guys. I wasn't, nor was I impressed with photographs of the camera being used, both in the photo sets and the videos. Its done okay, but pay a guy to take the pictures and video. This is cheap and the monthly price indicates otherwise. Save the money.
