GayDemon's review of Drake Cameron

Drake Cameron offers exclusive HD videos of cute amateurs and hunks jacking off on camera. I'm a sucker for HD videos, and there's nothing like guys getting themselves off, so they have my full attention. The tour is well laid-out and there's a preview page for 6 models, each one with a profile and a trailer. The join page says that they offer both high resolution images and vidcaps, plus a new release every week, although the latest update is dated from more than a week ago. On the other hand, the prices are very reasonable, which is obviously a good thing. Why not join me as I head off to the member area to learn more about Drake Cameron!

The member area of Drake Cameron is a mirror of the tour. Everything is laid out exactly the same, which means the pages are clean and easy to use. There are navigation links across the top of the page and a contact link at the bottom. The four most recent updates are listed on the page, each with 3 good-sized thumbs, name and description, but the no longer lists the dates the updates were added. The site currently offers 37 episodes total, which is 31 more than they offered 10 months ago. Each episode offers pics and video.

Most of the videos are offered for download in both WMV and Quicktime in 4 sizes - 1920X1080, 1280x720, 960x540 and 640X360. These videos are good to very good quality with good sound, but some computers may not be strong enough to play the largest versions smoothly. Most of the videos are also offered in 2 streaming versions. There are 2 sizes of Flash videos that are less sharp than the downloadable videos but not too bad. Nine of the videos are only offered at 720X540 and 1 smaller size, and only 1 size of streaming Flash. There's also a format called M3U8 that is an iPhone format that can only be played on iPhone OS version 3.0 or better.

Each video comes with 2 sets of pics - a set of digital stills and a set of vidcaps. The digital stills are shown at between 419x629 and 1000x1500 at good amateur quality, and the vidcaps - called video stills in the site - are shown at between 419x629 and 711x400. It's worth mentioning that the newest pic sets have more pics, while the older sets have fewer pics - as few as 6 to 11 photos each.

Drake Cameron now has 33 models who vary in type. There's a smooth and cute twink, a couple jocks and some hunky guys who obviously spend time at the gym. There are now also a few hardcore sets, and presumably more to come. While the guys are amateurs, the videos are well-shot to capture the action all the way to the cumshot very well, and I get the idea the video guy is no amateur - the lighting is good as is the video work.

The site has a couple issues, the first two of which - no dates on the updates and less than regular updates - have already been mentioned. Also the HD videos might have done better with a lower bitrate - say 3 Mbps - as I suspect that a lot of computers will have trouble coping with the 5 to 8 Mbps bitrate of the highest quality videos. Luckily there are the other sizes. And last, some of the regularly listed updates are labeled BONUS, and are not available in HD, which was disappointing.

Drake Cameron gets a bit of a mixed review. On the one hand, the guys and the action are hot, and most of the downloadable DRM-free videos are available in HD. I like the model profiles, and navigation is pretty good. On the other hand, the site has removed the dates from the content so we can't tell when updates occur, there have been 31 videos added in the past 40 weeks, and many pic sets have less than 12 pics each. Also, 9 of the 37 vids are not offered in HD. The bottom line - if you love amateur guys jerking off or sucking and fuckiing a buddy in good quality videos, and don't mind smaller sites, Drake Cameron is worth checking out.
