GayDemon's review of Dixter

I love amateur guys - real amateur guys, not guys I've seen on dozens of sites who claim to still be amateur. And there's a new site that features just the kind of men I like to see. It's called Dixter and I think it's going to be one of my favorite sites. The guys are hot, the photos and videos are amateur quality but really GOOD amateur quality, and the tour shows a preview page for each guy in the member area. You can read all about the guy and the shoot and see a few preview pics of each one. I'm pretty excited about this one so I'm off to check out the member area!

If you checked out the guys in the tour, you already know what the member area is going to look like because the tour and the member area look the same. There are currently 30 episodes shown on the page members log into, each guy listed by name with a small pic. Each leads to a well laid-out page that includes the description of the shoot and the guy, links to 2 sizes of movies, links to 2 galleries - one of vidcaps and one of digital stills - plus 6 sample vidcaps taken from the movie to give you a preview of the action in the video.

The videos are WMVs that can be streamed in your Media Player or downloaded to your harddrive. Each video comes in 2 sizes - 700k at 640x480 and 220k at 320x240. Sound on the movies is very good, and unlike similar sites where the guys talk with the cameraman, here the camera man's voice isn't louder than the models'. Download speed here is fast, so there's not a lot of waiting to watch the videos, and there's no DRM.

The men of Dixter are fit, attractive and mostly in their 20s. Some are on the muscular side, but all of them have that "normal guy" feel that real amateurs generally have. They seem fairly comfortable, but there's an edge of insecurity that almost anyone would have the first time they show their cock and jack off on camera. The guy holding the video camera, however, while not a pro, has obviously done this before. The videos have enough closeups at all the right times, there's no camera shake and the zooms are done smoothly so that all that gets your attention is the model as he shows his ass and masturbates.

The vidcaps are good quality for vidcaps - as good as many amateur pics in other sites. I don't get to say this very often, but if you like pics you should check out the vidcaps. All but 4 of the episodes also come with a set of digital stills, which are pics shot with a digital camera. And the digital stills are good amateur stuff - higher quality than a lot of amateur photos. They are shown at 479x720 and I definitely found some worth keeping.

Something I particularly like about Dixter is the types of amateur guys in the member area because they're not all one type except for fitness level and age. There are clean cut guys, tattooed guys, slightly rough guys, muscular guys and at least a couple ethnic guys, which is nice since a lot of amateur guy sites seem to only shoot white guys. There's even one guy - Brock - who has a boy next door look, a light covering of freckles and a great big tattoo. Some of the guys use dildos, some don't. One thing for sure - I like watching what they're doing.

When Dixter started out a couple months ago all the sessions were solo, but as the site owner promised me in an email, some of the shoots are now guy/guy including toy play, rimming and oral. This is a good thing for more than one reason. It's always good to have guys licking and sucking each other, but it's also a big plus whenever you find a site owner that keeps all his promises.

Did I have any issues? Well, I did notice that there are no dates on the episodes. I went back after a couple months and found that Dixter did add a new update for every week, which is good to see. Otherwise, for those of us who like simple sites with easy navigation, there's not much here not to like.

I like everything about Dixter from the clean, ad-free navigation and intimate feel of the episodes to the downloadable videos and hot pic sets. But what I really like about Dixter is the guys. One of them - Kobe - I have seen before, but only once, and the rest of the guys seem to be fresh, horny first-timers with cute "normal guy" looks. You can preview them all on the tour so there's no guessing here - every guy on the tour is in the member area in action. The site currently has 30 episodes, and since it's adding a new episode each week, I predict it's going to be one of the really good sites out there. If you like amateur guy sites, I recommend you check out Dixter - you won't be disappointed!
