Coach Ron
site reviews > Muscle & Jocks > Coach Ron
The full name of Coach Ron is actually Coach Ron's All-Star Team and if you're the kind of guy who loves pics of men wrestling, guys in speedos and tight athletic clothes that really shows the bulges in their pants, read on as we review a site called Coach Ron. This site has a rather old-school look but it's also packed with all sorts of photos of men in all sorts of sports and the preview sections include baseball players, judo, all sorts of wrestling and more.
Coach Ron's main member page starts off with an easy-to-find cancel link and an ad to join some other sites. After the title of the site and a pic of 2 guys wrestling comes a pretty basic member area that lists all the content in text, and many things like updates are listed more than once. The links on the top of the page are fairly large, then there are some graphic links, then smaller links and then small links.
Some things potential members will want to know about Coach Ron include the fact that this site hasn't been updated in around 7 months, and appears generally to be updated 2 to 4 times per year since 2002. Also the content inside Coach Ron is all photos - no videos here - and these aren't generally series pics, although there are some smaller series sets. These appear to be photos from a large variety of sources, hand-picked. You'll find wrestling pics, guys in speedos, men in tight spandex athletic wear, men playing ball sports or doing track and field, swimmers and bicycle events and more.
The galleries here are not single sets of pics but rather are themed. There are galleries of athletes grabbing their nuts for a variety of reasons. There are men sweating and struggling in wresting matches, all sorts of fight pics, and plenty of galleries dedicated to "bulges" - whether in underwear, sports kits or other kinds of tight men's wear.
The pics vary from fairly small to medium-sized, with some very small pics thrown in. Quality also varies from poor scans in newspapers to pretty good quality pics that show every muscle fiber. Most of the pics I saw, however, were amateur to average quality.
Something I noticed immediately about the galleries is that pretty much every gallery page has the entire menu of pics either below or even above the gallery. This is a little confusing sometimes, but remember to scroll down the pages if all you see is links and you will find the pics.
At Coach Ron, there are definitely types of pics you don't see in many sites. There are 8 pages of pics of "Men Choking Men", mostly in wrestling matches. These are mostly small pics but full of action and male body against male body.
Okay, I admit it - I did find 1 video. The link to it says "MATT SHIRVINGTON'S AMAZING BIG BOUNCING BULGE" and it's a 2 or 3 second MPG clip of a man running a race hard and damn it, his bulge is certainly bouncing! So there may be a few more videos hidden among all the pics inside Coach Ron. It's hard to know without spending hours looking for them.
There is a forum inside the site called "Mat Chat" but a lot of the links, including most recent posts, lead to a 404 page - which means the page is not found. There is a links page inside the forum that actually links to some pretty worthwhile athletic sites.
The pricing at Coach Ron is pretty mysterious. While 1 month for $14.95 isn't bad at all, having prices that rebill for a site that doesn't update doesn't make a lot of sense. I get the impression that Coach Ron is not an experienced webmaster, but he does seem to be dedicated to pics men wrestling and athletes in tight stretchy clothes that hug tightly to everything they cover.
While Coach Ron offers very little nudity, this is a great place to view thousands of photos of men in athetic wear, jock straps, speedos and underwear as well as action photos of men wrestling and taking part in other sports. The size and quality of the pics cover every part of the spectrum but there are a lot of them. While this site updates only every so often - 2 to 4 times per years - if you love pics of men wrestling, wearing speedos and spandex and hot athletes showing their bulges, there are thousands of hand-chosen photos at Coach Ron!
Things we liked:
- Wrestling, spandex and athlete pictures
Things we didn't like:
- Updates only 2 - 4 times per year
- Many pics are small and very low quality
- Site has only 1 video and it's 3 seconds long
- Navigation is messy and complex
- Non working links to forum pages
Membership prices ( Verotel )
- Monthly: $14.95 (recurring at $9.95 after 2 months)
- Quarterly: $22.95 (non-recurring)
- Other: $39.95 (6 months non-recurring)

My rating:
what the fuck is up with this site? it updates like twice a year and i'm not kidding. the content is mostly old grainy newspaper and newsgroup pics. sure there are a lot of wrestling sets, but come on! it's 2007. get with the program, coach ron.

My rating:
There are things to like about Coach Ron if you're into athletes, spandex and underwear like I am. There's plenty of wrestling pic sets, swimming and so on, but the site itself is a mess and as far as I can tell, it only updates like 4 times per year. Although I like the pics, they are mostly small and grainy but there are a lot of them, including a lot of newsgroup and magazine photos.
