GayDemon's review of Camera Boys

Camera Boys is a gay and tranny cam site that focuses on live webcam shows straight from the amateur's own bedrooms. Like many webcam sites, the site doesn't all that impressive on a first glance. The page is basic, and you might discount it as a simple site - but Camera Boys has live cams coming out the wazoo, and the sheer selection of guys and shemales is almost overwhelming. This is one of the first sites I've reviewed where I get the sense that I'm almost in a very kinky candy store.

When you login you're taken to a simple screen that gives you all of your navigation options. You can check in or buy more credits, take a look at the performers, hit the help section, or look through your history so you don't forget any guy or shemale that you run into. It's worth mentioning that Camera Boys is not a subscription websiet - you can chat free with the cam guys here, but if you want action like dildo shows or masturbation, this site is strictly pay as you go.

Although I logged on for this review at some ungodly time of night, there were still over 300 performers for me to choose from. During prime time I imagine that this number can go a hell of a lot higher. The main Who's Online page lists the guys under gays, then the tranny cams. There are also group and couple cams, and at the bottom you have video on demand. Both private chat and the video on demand goes by credits which you must buy.

The video on demands feature performers that do shows on the site. They don't all seem to be archived shows, however, and they are one credit per minute. However it does take exactly the amount of credits you use - if you are in under a minute, it calculates the exact amount of credits that you should be charged. The videos are streaming only and around 480x320, with somewhat choppy playback.

For the live cams, there are several subcategories under the main categories so that you can really break things down to what you want to see. There are both free and member chats, with the member chats requiring you to sign up to see them. And of course, you have the private chats that require credits. The video quality is pretty good, and there is also decent audio on the performers I looked at. The videos are around 480x320 and you can also enlarge the video. I got an athletic guy from Romania that certainly seemed to be enthusiastic and engaging, and looked to be showing off on his couch. Private shows range from $1.99 to $3.99 per minute, so you will find yourself going through credits pretty quick, however that's a lot less expensive than other live cam sites. You get pop ups when your credit level is low just to let you know - it gave me warnings at 120 and 40 seconds left. It's also worth mentioning that for less than the cost of your own private show you can pay by the minute to watch a model you like do a one-on-one show for another customer, but you won't be able to chat or make requests if you opt for this.

The search function is nice and robust, allowing you to really break down who you would want to see. I would have liked to have seen some archived shows or even photo galleries with caps as extras, but what Camera Boys does is deliver you to their amateurs and leave the rest to your imagination. The site is certainly nice and functional, and I couldn't complain about any of the guys I had a chance to chat with.

If you're looking for a straight forward camsite that has a good selection of guys, shemales, and horny couples, then Camera Boys will keep you busy for a long time. Although it doesn't have the bells and whistles of other camsites, you can sort models by type - Twink, Muscular, Huge Cock and so on, or just go crazy and view all the guys who are on at one time. The amount of models available at Camera Boys definitely makes them worth checking out if you're into live guys, and the free non-explicit chat is certainly a big plus.
