If you like skaters, surfers and straight boys, Boy Ride is the place to be! While there are a few other sites on the web with a collection of licensed so-called skater and surfer content, it's obvious at a glance that most of these are twink or frat type porn models who are told to say they're skaters. But for those of us who see real skateboarders and surfers on the streets and the beaches by our homes, we know that most of them are slender or even a little skinny with a bit of an attitude and punky or slacker looks - and so do the models at Boy Ride. So let's log into the member area and take an up close look at what they have to offer!
First things first. The member area of Boy Ride is pretty intuitively laid out. The sections have pretty easy to figure out names, the main links are up there on the upper left side of the page with an email link plus the DVD store and pay per view on the upper right. On the left side of the page are links leading to Donovan's Dudes, a sort of site within a site that is part of Boy Ride. Below that are the latest updates and a link to a live feed and on the right is the latest guy on Boy Ride plus a link to support.
The video section, called Flix on the menu, offers over 120 hardcore flix, 23 audition videos and 41 outtake videos plus 31 Donovan's Dudes videos. You can navigate the pages with the use of dropdown menus on the left side of the page and it's very easy to get from section to section.
Most of the Boy Ride hardcore movies get right to the action, whether it's stroking or sucking. The guys vary in type. Some have a sort of street punkish look, some are sort of hunky and some are twinks and every one seems to be horny as hell. I admit that a few didn't really come off as straight despite site claims but hey - I can live with that. For those who like interviews, both the auditions and Donovan's Dudes offer them at the beginning of the movies.
The Boy Ride movies are offered in 2 formats - WMV and MPG, but the MPGs areactually Quicktime vids. Each video is offered in DSL and 56k speeds although any bonus movies are only offered for DSL. All movies are shown at a screen size of 320x240 although the DSL movies, offered at a streaming speed of around 1000k, are good enough quality to enlarge to 200% and still look good. At full screen, you might notice a lack of quality but they are still pretty watchable. The 56k videos, actually shown at around 100k, look better than most dialup clips I've seen.
The sound is good in all the videos I watched and the movies all played smoothly. They can be downloaded or streamed as you prefer and there's no DRM. The Boy Ride movies are offered in 3 longish clips although the Donovan's Dudes movies are offered as full scenes.
If you love pics of skater dudes, the pics section has a lot to offer. The Boy Ride pics are digital stills, not vidcaps, the photos offered at a medium sized and good amateur quality although you will find an occasional weird pic. There are over 100 photo sets and a lot of the sets include some casual pics, which I liked. There's plenty of hard cocks in action and some 2 guy shoots. There are also 16 photo sets from Donovan's Dudes.

This is a model index so each boy's page offers his basic stats on the left side of the page, links to his content as well as a few sample pics of him and a description of how the Boy Ride team found him. Not all the guys are listed there but a lot are, so if you wanna know more about the guys, this is the place to go. I did wonder if a few of these guys really were surfers or skaters, although most have the look and feel of being the real thing.
I also had a few issues. One is that the updates are not dated, which would have been nice. I'm not sure why all the videos are 320x240 since they could have been shown at 640x480 at the same bitrate but as long as you know how to enlarge vids in your Media Player, this isn't a big issue. And I would have liked bigger pics, but none of these issues really detracts from the site.
The bottom line is that Boy Ride has some very cute boys, some very street boys and some hunky ones, as well. Many are slender, straight and the kind of guys you see skateboarding up the street or surfing at Malibu. The movies are good amateur quality and there are broadband and dialup versions. Beside the hardcore and J/O movies, there are audition videos and bloopers . And members get access to the Donovan's Dudes, which is your basic straight guy jackoff area. The one real catch is I can't tell how frequently Boy Ride Updates, but they DO update. If you like what you see on the Boy Ride tour, the member area will not disappoint!

I think Boy Ride is currently updated every two weeks, which is kind of a drag. They are doing a complete overhaul of the site, though, starting this month. They say that they're going to post bigger, better, higher-res photos and videos, and hopefully they'll start updating more frequently.
