GayDemon's review of Big Niklas

Big Niklas is a real amateur bodybuilder site featuring a cute and built muscle man. Big Niklas was a 19 year old european bodybuilder 2 years ago when his site first launched. He had recently started competing and has recently placed in the Mr. Universe juniors class. You'll find some great pics of him in his tour as well as a little info about him and a link to his blog. There is also a section called NIKLAS FRIENDS which suprised me by actually being pics of a few of his friends rather than a list of links as I was expecting.

The member area of Big Niklas is not just plain, it is stark. There is the site title on the left, navigation links and a very brief site welcome and email link, and there is an ad including 5 thumbs at the bottom of the page. There is no pic of Niklas decorating the page, no colors or decorative graphics or even table borders. But don't panic - let's take a look around and see some of what Big Niklas is about.

The first section is called ABOUT ME. There's a brief bio, which is interesting and makes it fairly obvious that english is not Niklas' native language. For those who are interested in training and diet, Niklas includes info about what he eats - which is almost pure protein and plenty of it - and also includes his workout routine, which is nice. Like the main member page, there are no graphics or pics of Niklas on this page. Hopefully he will consider adding a few personal pics of him eating and training in the future.

First I decided to check out the video clips section. There are a total of 95 video clips in 13 sections - 42 more video clips than on my last visit. Make no mistake about it - these are clips, not full videos. Most run from 20 seconds to over 3 minutes and include things like Niklas working out, doing DVD shoots, flexing, masturbating and even getting ready and posing on stage in the Mr. Universe contest. I liked the video clips, although I definitely wish they were longer and that each one had a preview thumb to give an idea of what to expect.

The video clips are mostly shown between 480x360 and 640x480 with bitrates between 800k and 1.5 mbps. The videos are fairly good quality and can be downloaded or streamed directly into your Quicktime Player. Unlike some Quicktime movies, these have no issues for PC users and loaded and played smoothly. The videos don't have any issues with blurring and I think will appeal to muscle fans.

Next I checked out the photos. There are 18 galleries, only 4 more than there were 2 years ago. Some of the galleries include mixed pics and some have pics from only a single shoot. There are nude pics, pics taken at phot shoots and pics at two different contests, which I really liked. Some of the pics - especially the old ones - are pretty small, others are medium sized. The best pics as far as size, quality and subject matter are the pics from the Mr. Universe contest. These pics include Niklas getting ready, on stage, and after the contest with his trophy. If you check all the galleries - and I recommend you do - you'll find pics of Niklas with friends, in the shower, showing off his cock and tanning on the balcony. While I wish there were more pics, I think the pics really let us get to know Niklas.

The webcam section of Big Niklas is an odd situation. Niklas is a chat host on I'm Live, which means you must pay to chat with him. That's a shame, although it may be worth doing. If you want to talk to him without going though I'm Live, Niklas includes his personal ICQ number on the webcam page.

The newsletter is actually a Yahoo group. He announces photo and pic shoots on other sites he's worked with as well as things from his career and auctions of his clothes. There are some videos and pics there, too, but unfortunately there are also a fair number of spammers leaving bullshit messages.

Although the site is small, it has grown since our first visit. I liked Big Niklas - he's cute and he's very muscular. I wasn't thrilled that the vids are only clips, but the pics and videos had a great energy and I loved seeing the contest and pre-contest pics and movies. There have been 42 clips added in the past 2 years, so while the site isn't bursting with growth, it is growing. In the meantime, if you want to see pics and videos of the real thing - a competing semi-pro bodybuilder with great arms and shoulders and a good looking face - I suggest you check out Big Niklas.
