GayDemon's review of Bareback Box

Bareback Box tells us that it is new, but that it's got 15 years' experience behind it, it offers streaming videos and a low cost, per-minute, pay as you go or monthly payment plan. The site offers a straightforward collection of bareback movies from a variety of studios, and these are arranged in categories. Each movie comes with a cover shot, write up and sample pics. The site has a transparent tour so you can see what you will find as a member. You're able to up or down-grade when you need more or fewer minutes so, when you want to control how much you spend, and when you want to watch hot bareback action, this might well be the place for you; let's see.

What you see on the Bareback Box tour is what you'll find in the member area; there are no changes except that you can only stream the full movies once you have joined or bought time and logged in. The Browse button acts as your link to the main home page where the recent updates are shown, but I didn't see any upload dates with these titles, so I have no idea how often the site adds new DVDs. You can clearly see the movies on offer, a total of 310 full DVD titles so far. Click a cover to get to the view page where you have streaming speed choices, a scroll-through bar to navigate the movies, and some information. A list of studios and categories also aids navigation and the site is very easy to move around.

Bareback Box videos are streaming only, and if you're on the pay per minute plan, your credits start ticking away as soon as the videos start playing. You are given a choice of streaming speeds, with an auto-detect function running and the stated speeds are between 256 kbps and 1536 kbps. As you would expect, the lower the speed the lower the quality, and the 256k versions of scenes produced lack of clarity and pixilation at full screen while the higher ones were better quality. Generally the presentation was of a decent quality, as long as you take a mid to high speed stream.

Movies come from 10 studios at present, including SX Video and Hot Desert Knights, and are arranged in 46 categories. You can also browse the full set page by page. These are released DVDs, the same titles you would find in a store. This means that number of scenes and runtime varies from one and a half hours to over two hours in some cases. You are able to use the navigation slider to skip through each DVD but there are no individual scenes or clips to select. There is no downloading to be had here, either: you pay, you stream, you top up and stream again.

There are no galleries as such. Each movie comes with a set of eight small screencaps that preview the action from the scenes, but these don't enlarge or lead to individual clips or galleries.

Bareback Box is all about gay condom free sex, but it goes a little further: you've got cum play, cum pigs and some fetish action included. Mind you, there are also twinks and jocks, so the rule of thumb is: the movies are varied in terms of models and niches, but they are all bareback. You might want to select 'Latino' from the category list or 'Punishment,' you might want to check the list of model names, which is pretty extensive but lacking in any other information, or you may want to settle on your favorite studio. Whichever way you go you will find hardcore action which often starts straight away with no build up or storylines. Checking a few titles I found rimming, pissing, fisting and internal cum shots included along with your more standard one-on-one foreplay, sucking and rubber-free fucking.

There are a couple issues here. First, the lack of update dates or schedule means there's no way to know when or how often new content is added. The site has the same amount of DVD titles as it did 1 week ago. One other thing worth mentioning - this is the only pay per minute recurring site I've seen, and I'm not sure whether members pay for additional minutes as they're used or in blocks, nor how the site warns you your card is being charged for additional minutes.

Bareback Box fixes itself firmly with its 310 non-exclusive bareback movies, whether that bareback action happens between twinks or hunks, jocks or cum-pigs. The movies are full, multiple scene DVD titles, and the best quality options look pretty good. These DVDs come from a variety of studios and feature known porn models as well as amateur guys. You find a choice of sign-up packages including recurring pay per minute options and a full unlimited access version where you don't have to worry about how many minutes you have left. It's unusual to see a pay per minute site with recurring options, but the prices are competitive with other PPV sites, and power users will appreciate the pay per month option. The bottom line - Bareback Box delivers on promises with plenty of hardcore streaming bareback movies.
