GayDemon's review of Bareback 101

Bareback 101 is a bareback site featuring college-type boys from 18 to around 23 fucking without condoms, and there are some hot previews of the action, including bareback sucking and fucking plus hot and sticky facial cumshots. The tour doesn't make many claims, but there are previews of some gay bonus sites, which are all part of the Gaystar Network as is this site. It's been a while since we last visited the site, so join me as I log in to see what's been happening at Bareback 101.

When you log into Bareback 101, you are taken to the network updates page, but it's easy enough to find your way to Bareback 101. There you'll find the network links at the top of the page and then a little site info followed by the first page of videos or DVD's, whichever you choose. The videos section has grown to 71 videos, which is 66 more than when the site premiered a little over 3 years ago. Unfortunately the site hasn't updated in a year, but you can still browse the videos by scene or by DVD title, so let's see what the video section has in store for us.

Each video is offered in several sizes and 2 formats, but let's talk about the best one first. The best videos are the downloadable full scenes. These are WMVs offered at 720x480, which is full sized for standard video. They have a 2 Mbps bitrate, and most of them are good quality. You can go full screen with them with only a very slight loss of quality. There are also smaller MP4 full scenes shown at 320x240 for mobiles and a streaming Flash version shown at about 600x455 of average quality.

The Bareback 101 videos each come with a set of pics. These are vidcaps that are sized at 720x480 (the same size as the downloadable WMV's) and most sets are pretty good quality considering they're vidcaps. The pics can be browsed in thumbnailed galleries or downloaded in a zip set.

The Sites link at the top of the pages leads to a page with 15 gay sites and 1 bisexual bonus site - Twink Boarding School, Club Sean Corwin, Studs Over 40, Fuck That Twink, Big Cocks and Jocks, Bisex 101 and 10 more. Many of the sites are bigger than Bareback 101, and one of them - Barely Twinks - is another barebacking site offering 50 videos. And speaking of updates, the Network Updates page shows that in the last month the network - which full members get access to - has added 10 new videos.

This site does have some issues worth mentioning. First, there's a pre-checked offer on the join page, so be sure and read it before you join to see if it's of interest to you. Next, it appears that trial members get only limited access to the site and network content and features. And last, as already mentioned, this site no longer updates although other sites in its network do.

While Bareback 101 has grown to 71 videos that feature cute guys barebacking and getting cum facials. The DRM-free vids are downloadable and are pretty good quality, and each comes with a set of pics. The real catch here is that the site is small and doesn't seem to be growing very fast with 2 updates added in the last 29 days and none scheduled. Luckily there is a good amount of content in the bonus sites, so if you're looking for a network to join, Bareback 101 could be worth considering.
