GayDemon's review of Bare Adventures

Bare Adventures is all about bareback twinks from European studio Raw Studios, and the guys are average to cute 18 to 24 year olds; the kind of amateur, ordinary guys you might meet on the street, at college or in a club. The tour shows the guys stripped down and having their adventures indoors and out, there's some watersports action hinted at, and we are told we will also get to access five bonus sites when we join. The site dates its first video at 2009, which is when we first reviewed it. Just over two years later it's time to see how it's doing. Has Bare Adventures improved in the last 27 months? Time to check the members' area and find out.

The member home page is the same as the first page of the tour, easy to navigate with the top menu appears on all main pages of the site. The various areas include the content, model index, blog and bonuses, and you can opt to view the pages in three languages. The recent updates are featured center stage with their dates and member ratings, and the site is updating every week. Over the last two years the site has doubled in size. There were 57 movies and now there are 114, plus 28 in the extra footage area, an increase of 57 main movies. That averages out to only two updates per month as there were gaps in the schedule in 2010. But since April 2011, the updates have been weekly and regular, and dates are now shown.

The site used to separate movies into adventures and 'sport' but now it seems they are all in the melting pot together. You will still find some movies with interesting scenarios and settings, such as the gym, out in the snow, military sex scenes, groups, showers and sauna, but you will need to click through the sample pics to get a rough idea of the setting for each movie.

The videos are DRM-free, and are offered in several downloadable formats. The best quality are the Quicktime videos, shown at from 1024 x 576 at around 2.3 Mbps at up to 1280 x 720 at 3 Mbps depending on the age of the video. These are good amateur quality and do okay at full screen. There are WMV files for those who prefer them. the recent ones shown at 852 x 480 @ 2.43 Mbps, and you will find up to three sizes of MP4, including specific sizes for iPhone and iPad. Checking the streaming options you find up to four choices of speed shown and three screen sizes including 480 x 320 up to 1280 x 720, and, we are told the newest have bitrates up to 4000 kbps. The quality of these higher resolution movies is better than average, particularly in the more up to date scenes.

Some of the videos come with pic sets, photos available in zip downloads at sizes around 873 x 1,300. There are 29 galleries in the Photosets area, and these relate to and link back to videos. To find more galleries you need to head to the model index. Just over two years ago there were 130 exclusive photo sets, pics shown at 667 x 1,000 at good amateur quality. Checking the model index today I notice that many of the 151 guys have more than just one photo set; they appear in solos, poses and action sets and often have more than one of each kind of gallery. Some have as six sets or more, so I'm guessing that there are at least 300 galleries here, with around 100 pics each and shown at from the same size as before to 873 x 1,300 in size at good quality or better.

Although the site may not now rely on its ‘adventures', ‘sports' or action scenes, it is still all bareback. You will find cute twinks and average amateur models in all kinds of situations. There are some groups and threesomes, many duos, and a lot of the action takes place indoors. Older Bare Adventures movies find the scenes outdoors, camping and even in a light aircraft, and you have to wonder if the adventure given way to somewhere safer. Checking the most recent scenes I found two of the 20 took place outside, two in the gym and two in the swimming pool/sauna; the rest were all your living room/bedroom set ups. But the guys are always up for noisy bareback hardcore, with plenty of sucking and ass play before and some cum play after.

Bare Adventures went through a bit of a rough patch with a disrupted update schedule in 2010, but more recently it has stayed on target with a new scene every week. Although these bareback scenes may not be as adventurous as when the site first started, they are still a decent in various download and stream options that should suit everyone. They also come with an increase in size and quantity, currently offering around 300 galleries and 114 videos, plus 28 extras. What we said before still holds true: if you're looking for boy-next-door bareback with a hint of adventure thrown in, then Bare Adventures could be for you.
