I've met Drag Queens and Transexuals who dress up as nuns in the past. However, very few were as benevolent and
dedicated to their form of "religion" as these "ladies". The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are based out of San
Fransisco. Like most practising nuns, they collect money from those who may have it and distribute it to those who may
not. They help those in need and become friends indeed. Their religious practises are described as thus: "Unlike more
traditional nuns, we are an Order of many faiths, religions and beliefs. However we are all united by the vows that each
of us take: to promulgate universal joy, expiate stigmatic guilt and serve the community, our fellow Sisters and the
Order of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence."
After perusing the site for a while I have to say I'm impressed with what I read. These nuns may not be your garden
variety hardcore Catholic sisters, but they certainly are religious about what they do.
