Arch Noble is a prolific artist. A few ways to describe his work would be crass, self-conscious, natural, contradictory, political and phallic-obsessed. There is little pattern to his palate of work, however there is an ever-present humor and camp quality.
Despite the crudeness of his work, he is not just another liberal Brooklyn homosexual atheist pop artist, in a sense he is a pure artist. His creations are like scaled down Jeff Koons sculptures; since in a way they are immersive of our culture. However, the majority of his art is easier to grasp and initially less impressive than Koons because rather than overwhelm with complex imagery, his work is a structured outlet of psychological fantasies and a means to poke fun at large cultural issues perceptively..
