A sex orgy, or group sex, is where five or more persons engage in continuous sexual activity, with those present. It is the simple act of engaging in all forms of sex, within view of those in the room or location.

It can be where one engages another for a blow job, then moves on to engage another for anal sex, then on to a third, a fourth, back to the first, until all parties are exhausted, or no longer able to perform.

History

Rooted in the Greek term, referring to work, service, ritual. The Latin term 'orgia' became the common term 'orgy' and is further based on the secret Greek ritual of 'orgion'.

History (Legend): Orgion, was a secret ritual in the Greek society, known as the Mystery Religions. In involved secret rituals in the worship of Demeter or Dionysus.

Due to its relationship, or connection, with Bacchanalia, Dionysus, the more common term 'orgy' generally refers to wanton sexual parties, though it can refer to any gathering of a group, engaging in any activity to an excess, that is considered socially unacceptable.

About

FIVE or more willing participants gather for the express purpose of engaging in sex. It is like any 'other' party with the exception being that no one sneaks off to some secluded spot to engage in sex with their partner, or with other party guests.

Sex can be as vanilla as can be, or can be more adventuresome. It can include the exchange of partners, the moving from person to person, or simply be between couples.

Inhibitions are left at the door.

The premise is to engage in whatever activity, to EXCESS.

Practice (Associated Acts): Group of friends engaging in excessive drinking could be called a 'drinking orgy' though generally is referred to as 'binge drinking'. Eating to excess, while termed gluttony, could be a 'food orgy' when it involves a group going out and eating to excess.

Noteworthy: Modern use of Bacchanalia is often related to wild sexual orgies or drinking parties. However, in ancient times, these wild parties were restricted to woman only, and was more of a ritual of worship to the Roman and Greek God Bacchus.

Men were allowed to participate later on, but the ritual or secret meetings were outlawed by the Roman Senate, in 186 BC, due to the political and criminal activities associated with members of this 'cult' or 'sect'.

Modern historians believe that the Senate outlawed this sect, because women held the authority roles within it, which was contrary to Roman Society of the time.

A hallmark of such membership included or revolved around the wild sexual and drinking parties. Prior to the admission of men, the ritual parties were held three times a year, that later evolved to five times each month. Modern day 'orgies' tend to involve both excessive drinking, drugs, as well as sexual activity.
