GayDemon's handpicked and recommended gay sites and blogs that deserve to be noticed.

There's nothing more erotic than seeing hunky guys in tight fitting swimwear, especially if its wet and clinging. Unless it's really hunky and good looking men, celebrities and models, in skimpy underwear, stripping down and posing. Beauty And The Bum collects such images and places them on its various pages. It blogs about these guys, shows them off in pics, and lets us wander all over its realm of horny men, bulges and muscles. And yet I didn't find it gratuitous or a 'porno blog'. It's got a nice and professional look to it, it covers fashion as well as flesh, and it separates out its Adult area into another blog which you can access from the top menu. I guess what that means is that you can look around the latest fashion pics, get a little hot under the waistband with some wet swimwear pics, fuel your imagination with images of half-naked celebs and then finish yourself off in the Adult area. Or you can just enjoy the quality images and interesting writing of this neatly put together male blog.

Davey Wavey wants you to feel good about yourself, and so he's set up Break The Illusion, a blog/site where you can come to get your ego massaged and be told how loved you are. But this place isn't all wishy-washy lovey-dovey; it's got an edge to it. There are articles here to make you think, not just about yourself, but about other gay people in the world. There are also videos and articles about keeping fit, with fitness programs, diet tips and ideas so you can start to look and feel better. There are photos, but anything overtly naked is fudged out so you are not looking at a gay erotic site here. A lifestyle one, perhaps, and a spiritual one. It is an advice area, a place to come when you want to start thinking about making a change and a difference. That's not to say this isn't also a fun place to check out, because it can be. You can even catch Davey live, it seems, and even his sponsor adverts are worth a look.

Noize Mag is a magazine site that's all about bringing you news and views on gay parties and festivals. But I reckon it's actually more than that. I took a look and thought I'd stumbled on a mega-site rather than a magazine. I mean it's full of info and links and pics and articles. Actually this is a free and informative site that's a mix of travel, lifestyle, information and fun. There is a blog area, but then there is also a radio so you can have music playing while you browse and read. And then there are photo galleries, too, all taken at clubs and events (how many shirtless muscle-guys can you swallow at one sitting? Nice!), and all, like everything else here, focused on news about festivals, gatherings, prides, meetings, marches, clubs and parties. You're going to need a chill out area once you've finished at this party site.

All leather fans walk this way, please, and that includes ladies as well as guys. Leatherati is a regularly updated blog that knows its subject, sticks to it and finds all manner of interesting things to post. It's all about the leather scene, of course, with pics and news, articles and information about lifestyle, competitions, shows and clubs. I was interested to see the Voices area in the menu, and this turned out to be posts from fans, users and other contributors to the blog; so you get more than one 'voice' and many points of view when you're browsing. And rubber fans are not left out, either; a quick check of the photos and you find leather and rubber in there together. But it's the detail which really impresses here. The events calendar, the wide scope of the writing and subject matter, and the attention to detail. These are the things that true leather and rubber, fetish fans want to see and that's what you get at this interesting blog.

All you ever wanted to know about your old man, your best friend, the one-eyed trouser snake, The Penis. That's what this well established site is all about. It contains articles, down to earth and well written, technical information and medical matters, hints for a healthy dick and reassuring advice for the older man. There are sex tips too, advertisements for relevant toys and accessories, and the site is also available in three languages. Don't come here expecting to be titillated or turned on, it's not that kind of a place. But when you want to know all kinds of stuff about the penis that you never knew you needed to know, well then, that's' where the penis comes in, if you see what I mean.

Jesse, the guy behind Naked Men World, tells you straight that it's up to you. This is a user-submitted blog where he encourages you to send in your own naked pics of straight men, your favourites perhaps, er, 'borrowed' from other blogs and free sites. Well, that's how it looks to me as my eyes fall upon some very familiar dicks. There may be stuff here that I've seen before on other free, nude-guy blogs, but there is also some that not even I have seen before. So it is definitely worth a perv around, a good look, a scroll down and back through the pages. There is a fair old smattering of adverts and gizmos, including a sign-up to a newsletter, and you're able to comment and hook up socially too. It may not be the most stylish of blogs, but it's sure got a load of horny pics of naked men.

You know, there are gay blogs and then there are really gay blogs; then there are simple blogs and then there are really complicated ones. Queerious is a mix of simply complicated, really gay, blogging about all and everything that may have a gay, or camp, or queer connotation. It's not sex but its sexy, it's not news but it's newsy, it has book reviews, film reviews, information, silly things with cats, horny things with pics of sexy guys, sad things, political news, fashion, politics and just about everything you can think of. Not surprising to learn then that there are 17 contributors to this cornucopia of Queer. I use this site as a place to come to catch up with gay reality, while staying in the realms of 'being on the edge', a place to chill out and have fun, be made to think, and a place to have my imagination stirred. Like I said, simply complicated and really gay.

Photographer/director Michael Anthony Downs shows us not only his great shots but those of other photographers at Masculine Mag, a blog that's all about men. Actually it's one of those blog-cum-free-sites where you not only have regular posts but pages too. Michael is giving us some videos to view, a large archive of back posts and a list of names linking to the hunks that he has captured and posted about. So, what you're looking at here is a classy, stylish presentation of work from professionals, featuring professional models and most of the time these hunky guys are wearing very little. It's great for news and updates, information and gossip about models and masculine men, and it's also a good place to come for some sneaky bulge watching.

The Bilerico Project describes itself as the web's largest LGBTQ group blog with 'dozens of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and genderqueer contributors'. It's a mix of political and cultural comment from a gay perspective, and has contributors from all walks of queer life. Contributors are invited in, so although you can see an online list of who writes here, you can't simply write in and ask to be part of the team. What you can do though is browse through the writing, the articles, the news and the impressions, check out breaking news and up-to-date stories, and look at more detail about what the movement is about. There are also sections for Arts and Entertainment, some of which is fun, so it's not all seriousness.

Enjoying those moments when guys slip their trunks and 'expose their junk accidentally; well, that's Dick Slips in an exposed nut-shell. Here's a blog that's all about finding candid photos of guys showing off more than they intended to, as well as guys just showing off. I've seen other blogs like this before (and some have the same content which, I guess, is unavoidable as it's taken from the web), but this one looks neater and cleaner, more professional and tidier. It's also got lots of images to browse through and smile at. Drunk guys pissing, laddish guys on holiday flashing, sleeping men with nuts showing, sportsmen racing with their tackle hanging out and even some totally erotic crotch shots of guys bulging in their lycra. What I really like, though, are the ones where you look and wonder 'where's the exposed dick then?' Then you see an insert, the site highlights the flashed cock or balls and you realize how eagle eyed these webmasters are. I can't keep my eyes off it.
