GayDemon's handpicked and recommended gay sites and blogs that deserve to be noticed.

Humorous and horny, something to tickle and something to torture, there are various ways you could sum up the Tickle Bear blog. When I was enjoying it I found some seasonal themed cartoons that were funny yet sexy, and these came alongside some very horny images of bears, and older, hairy guys. Scrolling down the very long page I passed many photos, and some video clips, lots of posts and updates, plenty of horny guys and many images of men with tattoos. There are also other toons here, fantasy drawings and other artwork, so it is a very large and eclectic collection of all things visual and bear. It's more image-led than text-led, so if you're simply after some inspiring shots of wolf men, muscle models, hard flesh and some porn sex pics featuring bears, then you're looking at the right den to come and hole up in for a while.

You know how it is: it is so easy to spend hours clicking around and searching for a really sexy blog, or something interesting and gay. How you spend ages looking for that special one, that 'thing' that is going to keep you amused, interested, informed, excited or whatever? And you know how hard it is to find that elusive 'thing'? Well, I do and that's why I was pleased to finally settle on Best Male Blogs as a portal into the world of man-blogging. Now I only need to click to this site to find out what's new, hot and got to be seen.
The site basically lists queer blogs, it puts together anything new and recently listed and then it also sets out popular blogs, and the highest rated ones (you can also vote), and it puts these into groups that are easy to browse. There are text lists, too, so you can search down by categories that include gay porn blogs as well and info and lifestyle ones. As to whether the results are going to accord with your idea of what's 'best', well, that's up to you. But as a place to come when you want to find that... something... you're going to like this starting place for sure.

It's all about what's happening right now at New Now Next. It's a kind of explosion of lifestyle news, TV info, movie musings, music, theatre, dance, arts and all things fabulous with a gay twist. Or a slightly camp one, or just one that's going to be of interest to anyone interested in an alternative point of view on what's happening in the cultural world. I hope that doesn't sound too confusing or unfocused as this image blog-cum-site isn't confusing at all. You'll see a search box, clear titles, easy to use social networking share functions and the like, a scrolling news banner for the latest articles, and then plenty of things to read and see. There are adverts as well, of course, but mainly the blog is all about media happenings, as they happen, with some style and travel ideas there for you, too. It's a neat place to browse around when you're looking for inspiration, cultural or otherwise.

When I went to check out Oriental Heat Mag I found that it had not been updated for a while; a few months, in fact. I'm not sure if it has come to a halt or if it's just on a break, but what I did find was still worth sharing. The archives of posts dated back about a year, and the blog was clearly all about twinky Asian guys, sexy ones at that. Korean models, porn models, shots from sex films, shots from gay sites, Chinese and Japanese boys, athletes, swimmers, you name it there were many Oriental twinks appearing here. I found this neat trick: if you use the category cloud of words on the left you can find all kinds of content that might otherwise stay hidden or be hard to find. Doing this I found that the blog currently works beast as a kind of 'lucky dip' of horny Oriental guy images. Each time you've visited a category it changes colour in the list so you know where you've been. And, when you've been through the current list you can start to explore the blogroll which will take you off to all kinds of ethnic themed, and other, gay sites of interest.

Men In This Town is a 'street style journal profiling men with a distinct look in their natural habitat'. If that sounds a bit formal, then think of it as a blog where everyday fashion, accessories and style get a look in. You will find a regularly updated, clean page of images and video clips detailing clothes and styles for the 'everyday' man. Giuseppe Santamaria is the photographer, originally from Canada and now living in Sydney where he shoots most of his images. Leave comments, check the content and be sure to view the archives too.

Rick Castro has been published worldwide; he exhibits his work, too, and it's all about the world of fetish and sex culture on the fringe. He lives in LA and he has this neat and simple blog-cum-site where he shows off some of his top work. You can click through his menu and find examples of his film work, fetish photography and glamour shoots, before going on to look at his published books and more. But for me it was the information about Antebellum that I found useful. Billed as 'the only fetish art gallery in America', Rick makes sure that we're kept up to date with the exhibitions and events. Handy if you're in the area, definitely interesting if you're not.

Qind Online is a magazine about relationships. It looks at how we relate to ourselves, to each other and the world around us, and it seeks to do it in a positive way through sharing experiences. It has a goal to inspire its readers to be 'kinder, stronger and happier in those relationships through the sharing of unique and personal stories.' And while it does this, it is also 'spoiling those readers with brilliant bold imagery and art'. If that all sounds rather esoteric to you, and you were hoping to stumble upon some eye candy and images, then don't worry; pictures are skilfully woven into the online magazine's words and pages. These images relate to lifestyle articles, fashion stories, culture and style and the magazine also takes you to the realms of spirituality and self-healing. And, most importantly, you can get involved. Qind starts as an interactive online magazine for the international gay community but is ultimately for everyone.

Justine Munroe 'has arrived with his 'Funhouse World of Human Horrors and Other Twisted Sites' as the about page says. He's a photographer and he's got a really quirky way of looking at things. That means that you've got here a fantastically interesting place to check out, particularly if you're into alternative photography and men. There's almost a Pierre et Gilles feel to some of this work, with iconic images, poses and faces, lighting and effects. You will see what I mean as you browse around the various categories from the list. You may head straight to the XXX area (I know what you're like!) but if you do, be prepared to sign up to a site in order to see the work that is there. For free you can check out the Prints area to see some whacky and wonderful fantasy images that you can buy online, and here you will start to get an idea for this creative and original photo work.
