Michael Brandon's Sex Blog is a "Stories Blog", full of tales of men having it off together. This is a seriously good writer, for the record. His settings are always believable as are the splendid creatures who people them. At least some of the most intriguing aspects of the work are these settings and the descriptive dialogue and discoveries made prior to the action itself. We're talking seriously hot foreplay. With an excellent sense of dramatic timing, we find such individuals as a young student unable to take his eyes off the two muscular and jocular painters who spend a bit of time teasing and, finally, a lot of time fucking and sucking cocks. The stories are easy to follow, they make sense and - man o man! - they are fucking hot. There is experience here, to say the very least. Nor is there ever more delight than in reading an author who loves his subject, and this blog is all over that. Michael quit this particular blog in 2007, which makes absolutely no difference. These stories are wonderful archives written by an accomplished writer who wants your pants to change shape rapidly. He does make that happen, very much. I will post again on this interesting character, Michael Brandon, who many of us already know. But this side of Michael is pretty heavenly. It very much needed to be seen as an example of the most excellent gay pornographic writing anywhere. Kudos, Michael!

A Bear's Life is like Cosmo magazine, but for hairy men. Who knew that bears had so much to talk about? But they do! This quarterly magazine is packed with articles from parenting advice to travel hot spots, and relationships to bear runs (those are scheduled events where a bunch of hairy men show up in one spot and do stuff). They interview the makers and shakers in the bear world; provide fashion and grooming tips; review movies, books, and music; they post photos of past bear events around the world; hell, they even have horoscopes! This magazine shouldn't be too hard to find if you live in a major urban center, most gay bookstores would carry it and even some of the large bookstore chains should have it on their shelves. But A Bear's Life has a website, too, where you can preview the magazine, order back issues, subscribe, read past features, and find links to the big world of bear.

Homotography is just about the hippest, most chic thing I've pretty much ever seen. I realize that's just funny, and all hyperbole considering all the incredibly fantastic blogs that have burst onto the scene, but it has an element that I actually think may pertain. I mean, these pictures are all taken by the world's classiest photographers, the subjects are all the classiest models and hottest men in the known Universe. That the blogger seems to be the "hardest-workin' man in photography bidness", combined with the above, leads in this case to a site rife with not only the best and hottest fashion and vanity pictures, but also the largest damned number of them, as well. There are bazillions of pictures here! I swear, you can spend an afternoon at this lovely site. The author certainly loves his male models and he chooses exceptional pictures through which to see them in all their glory. Darkly backgrounded, often black and white, these gorgeous photographic studies are the height of the art itself. This blog well represents the best products of each photographer listed, along with some searingly hot guys, being occasionally naughty and always - always - appealing. This may be the definition of Eye Candy. Extremely impressive stuff here. Just wow.

The concept of "bear" emerged in the late 80s and grew throughout the 90s. It was about bigger men and hairy men carving out and claiming their space in the gayscape. Kurt Groder, producer of The Bad Cub Club, says, "Today we need to stand strong as individuals as well as together in this unified, nested community." And his site seeks to uplift the individual within the larger bear community, to give him space to be who he is and declare it loudly and proudly. "The Woodpile" introduces you to the 30 or so bears and cubs who hang out on the site and contribute to it - real guys from across the globe opening up and sharing their stories. The rest of the site features articles about health, music, community issues, and more. There are also some galleries showcasing the works of artists in this hirsute community. The site is slickly designed and easy to navigate and I really enjoyed checking it out; I'll definitely be bookmarking this one for future visits. And I'm looking forward to watching this site grow and evolve.

Because I Fancy Gentlemen is an absolute picture-rich gem of a blog, only partially awkward owing to its size. This young (20 year old) blogger is prolific. As one peruses the front page, traveling downwards, you meet some of the hottest men in the Universe. The poses are often professional - but not always. It is a hugely satisfying mix, made even hotter by the extremely obvious fact that this guy loves his subject matter - hot as hell men. As I tried finding something out about him, which I noticed at the bottom, uploads onto the screen were occurring at an incredible rate, pushing it further away and bouncing my station like a hard dick. That's not the end of the world as we know it, by any means and, the fact of the matter is, if one is surfing this hot site, who gives a shit? The images being numerous, merely give an additional sense of 'possibility' in the end. The quality of the images and those incredible subjects are truly amazing. This guy doesn't miss much. From sucking and fucking threesomes to cumshot paradise to underwear ad-quality International models showing us what they have, the lust muscle never get disappointed - and I do mean never. For that tribute alone, this blog deserves a long look.

It's no secret that the world has gone Facebook crazy. But if you've ever spent any time creating a Facebook page and included a cock shot or a picture of a man's ass, you've probably also had you page deleted by the adult-content Nazis on the social networking site. My own Butch Dixon Facebook page lasted about 72 hours. I was careful about not showing any nudity on my page, but apparently a picture of a man touching his nipples set off the alarm bells and I was sent into the giant cyber trash can in the sky. Bearbook is a new site that aims to take the censorship out of facebooking while bringing bears and hairy-man lovers together. This site is aimed at the bear and hairy man community and has many of the features of its behemoth inspiration. For a small fee ($5.00 a year) members can post profiles and photo albums. You can cruise through other member profiles, send them private messages, or post in more public areas. Bearbook also has an area called The Buzz, which is a sort of Twitter roll of everyone's postings, so it's quite easy to find and make new friends. And if you found a hot video of your favorite bear jerking off on XTube, no worries, you can share it with everyone in Bearbook, and they'll be happy you did. Bearbook is a breath of fresh air. It's a place where you're free to be yourself and connect with other men, and you don't have to worry about your niece seeing pictures of bare-chested, 300-pound bears in pink tutus, or something worse.

Mike Dreyden's Blog is a popular blog these days, so socially connected on facebook and Twitter, he amazes me. This is a very hard-working gay professional. He, of course, also performs and acts in gay films and has the abs, the cock and the nice hairy body which is the enviable product of a good Jewish boy from Brooklyn. But this Mike has soul, too. You'll find a nearly alarming honesty as he writes about his life and times growing up. He speaks of being bullied and of wanting to end his own life - a tragic current theme out there as we all know to our sadness. What Mike does is deal with it very directly in words which can help others who have faced similar situations. Needless to say, for that if nothing else - he would be attractive to me for the best of reasons. But fortunately, Mike Dreyden is more, too. He is on all sides of a camera and gay productions in general, he writes well, soon taking over an editorial position at a hot LA magazine, Instigator Magazine. He is a fabulous guest when he gets asked to clubs with a no holds-barred attitude and the body to swing hard with. This Mike is a smart feller, a good guy, sexier than crap, who loves life and who shares it righteously. I really like this guy and his blog.

I spent some time over at Blogspot today hunting through various blogs. It's funny how one blog can lead you so many places. People come up with the most interesting and eye-catching names for their blogs, and if you just start clicking some of these sidebar links, you'll discover all kinds of things. I found URGE this way. Urge is a man who loves "drawing" naked men, but he's devoted most of his time to hairy men, so this is my kind of place. And his site is a mix of reality and fantasy. You'll find drawings of your favorite gay porn stars like Dillon Buck, Steve Kelso, Ray Dragon, Tim Kruger, Geoffrey Paine, and more. But Urge also takes us into pure fantasy with his renderings of hot men like Jason Statham and Ryan Reynolds (People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive 2010). We've all thought about seeing men like this naked (I love Jason Statham!), but Urge gives us a peek at how he thinks these hunks might look when they shed their clothes. Urge posts some of his Photoshop sessions so you can see how he came up with Jason Statham's cock - and it's a meaty one! I'm not sure whether Urge actually ever draws with pencil and paper, or whether he just manipulates everything through graphics programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. But it doesn't matter, I like Urge's stuff. It's pure mancandy!

Iambeky is also known as "Life of A Closet Gay", which one can see is his url title as well. His self-description: "I have been in the closet all my life and I am happy the way it is. It can get lonely and dark at times but that what makes it more colorful. Besides, I am still loving it here," is almost hard to believe since he actively woos and has sex with some very gorgeous men. Beky is active sexually and has been for years. But there is much that will resonate with others still in closets - and some of it is hot as hell. He speaks of being attracted to men and wondering, after meeting them and speaking with them, whether they feel the same way or not about him. I have a feeling the "gaydar" he mentions does more than a little giving him away. He just seems so close to being an outright visible gay, it is surprising and a little arousing that he hides it so well. Also that he still has fabulously intimate sex with guys who are young like him and who are far more "announced". There is a sort of tension about this blog that carries you deeper to see what's next. He is rather easy to follow and easier to like - he has a great writing voice that entertains and interests a reader, making you want to know a bit more. He seems very honest and, of course, he also comes through with descriptions of the sex - always a winner with me. Nice blog.

KOK Magazine sports a rather spare, not-too-glossy front but it makes up for its simple appearance with continually more interesting and utterly diverse subject matter. This is a smart rag. It ranges from Youtube videos of Lady Gaga to some really nice and obscene gay performances to photos and cartoons of superheros to super models to actors looking quite nude to hilarity with some very funny commentary and - especially - video. The photos are almost always plain interesting, with strange subjects posed in eye-catching ways or else regular blokes who make your pants hurt. Then there is the classification of "red hot" - of which there are a few individual pictures of absolutely that ilk. This is a blog I refer to as a "page-turner". One devours what's offered, then enjoys moving onwards, realizing suddenly that this magazine made one hell of an interesting bit of blog art. They limit the written text, letting the images speak for themselves, generally. And herein lies the secret of this site's promise. This mag knows what it is doing, most assuredly.
