Swimpixx is pure beefcake. How else do we describe a blog totally devoted to pictures of guys wearing only swim trunks? Don't answer that! These fellows are universally hunks, fit, hale and hearty and sporting some glittering smiles. His February 28, 2010 edition features a video of a Brazilian Muscle beach, an unholy mess of gorgeous and well-defined hunks all of whom preen delightfully, displaying all those mouth-watering attributes so many of us yearn for. Pumping iron with all those sweaty hard bodies gleaming in the sunlight is the order of the day. Gorgeous South American men, on display with little modesty or reticent shyness, these guys are all just eye candy of the very first order. Yes, there are some fashion statements it well behooves us to admire. Brazilian men have always been at the forefront of Beach Wear Fashion. But I have to think there's something else in the draw of this great and handsome blog. Something far more directly rooted to our jeans and what's inside them. If Ruff's Stuff were a risk management firm, we'd all be in trouble now! I enjoyed this guy's takes on the hardest of the hardcore bondage scenario's. His statement at the onset of the blog says it all: "No means No.......unless you're hard." We all enjoy the Edge, face it. Living there for many is the ultimate aphrodisiac. For some, being there is an act of its own, freeing, loose, uncommitted, vulnerable - all these things. 'Risky' is definitely "In" for not just gay men, but for the entire sexual galaxy, the truth is. This guy explores that in fantasy and quite possibly in reality - it is always so hard to tell. But what he does so well is to engage our imaginations. He has a real knack for that. Of course, he also features groovy pictures of sexy guys, even many of guys doing the nicest things for and to each other - far outside of the "risky" category. He applauds his "mentors" who advised him right, by the way, having been a confirmed "kinkster" for quite some time. This is an experienced, smart cookie, with tales to tell and with an imagination rich in both experience and fantasy. Always interesting, he supplies a warm - if unusual - variety of messages, always with a nice bit of "edge" to them. I honestly enjoyed reading this blog quite a bit. He seems like a very interesting man one could learn from and who one could use just a little. Or more.

Bill in Exile was originally written as an exchange of letters between the author and his best friend Bill who was sentenced to jail time for selling drugs. As a prison letter-writing exchange it has huge relevance for more people than we ever imagined. As a human, one cannot read the evocative letters without feeling a rush of sympathy for, actually, both parties. Mistakes get made, people reflect on them, but the pain of "doing time" is unique and nearly indescribable outside of what we can interpret from writings. In the meantime, what the author of this blog has done - as is the case of many blogs - is that he has adapted - this one quite satisfyingly morphed into something totally sexy and totally political at the same time. I personally enjoy this combination of idealism, irritation and its intersection with red hot sex. When you add the poignancy of the letters between these guys, you come up with a true slice of life, lived by a very interesting man. Absolutely well-written and fascinating all the time, this blog stays modern and topical and breathes a certain rawness and intelligence which we can all admire. This dude tells it pretty much as he sees it, having lost - one assumes - many pretensions about life's expectations after enduring some of the harsher and less fair realities. He has soul, a heart and a very cool grasp on events and attitudes. I love this blog.

The Boy Rook is a really interesting bit of writing and self-experience, chronicling the evolving interests and experiences of a true "sub". In fact, his "About" line goes as follows: "This blog is how I explore my darker sides. I'm a sub, a servant, a boy, a pup, a kinkster. I have my shit together in day to day life, but I long to serve, to give up control. I'm new to this, but eager to learn.." This is a younger business guy - self-employed and obviously successful. He has a mate of 5 years who he adores. What this interesting blog represents are his explorations within certain parameters, which his "better half" actually allows. It gets extremely hot. He has a writing gift and it shows as he runs down meeting others and the delightfully naughty entertainments they undertake. He has a few limits, including wrapping the "package" - always - and is sensible in discussing how he became so enraptured with being dominated and used. He describes a set childhood fantasies involving kidnap scenario's which seem to have followed him to now. The most intriguing parts of this blog, however, are the actual events. As a BDSM blog, this one has details of emotions and sensations that are difficult to find laid out quite so intelligently and openly. Frankly, this blog is one of the hottest blogs I've seen about BDSM and its role in a man's life.
