Metro Dystopia
Metro Dystopia runs some funny and light-hearted vignettes on life, sex, cities and even on relationships, as he headlines his blog with this hilarious beginning: "Metro Dystopia..a vision of a society in which conditions of life are miserable and characterized by poverty, oppression, violence, disease, pollution, and/or the abridgement of human rights, resulting in widespread unhappiness, suffering, and other kinds of pain. In other words life in New Jersey." He also gets serious, personal and even tragic as the author, an AIDS widower, waxes on about all the various and sundry good, bad, indifferent, silly and wonderful things he encounters in life. He takes us to some very erotic moments of his own which he shares in personal detail as well as in the persons of some very, very hot people and clips he has found online. Personal, but with a real mature self-reflection, this just seems like the kind of smart, hip guy you would expect out of the Dystopia of New Jersey and, of course, New York City itself. Ironic and humorous, personal and judgmental, I enjoy this blog no end as it offers an unfolding sense of surprise and humanity on every page. This guy just seems like a mensch.
