Confessions of a Bad Boy is a pretty doggone delightful newer blog which is funny, hip and just a little combative in the most cheeky sort of way. Designed and inspired by a young and talented guy, Confessions of a Bad Boy shows just tons of promise. His profile and personal sections are must reads in order to get a real feel for the blog, which then provide a by far more obvious view of where this irreverent and fresh cat is coming from. His "takes" are highly personal and mannerly and yet he poses some steamy semi-soft-core pictures of athletic studs who are somewhere beyond attractive in a very lusty sort of setting. His world of images does occasionally tend to run to the commercial with hot pictures of attractive guys in swim wear and other hot younger men posed in high-fashion duds, fresh from the latest and most hip designer wear. He features his fantasy love objects from the celebrity world in no uncertain adoration. In the end, we will see what he offers over the longer term but, as for now, this is a fresh and promising young guy with an eye for art, men and refreshing honesty. That's a good combination in anyone's book.

American Urge is fascinating, charming and very glossy Celebrity Blog featuring - among other things - gay and gay-friendly personalities who capture the imagination of this very informed and ultimately unique site. At the top of the home page are categories of interest which most certainly do not disappoint. For example, under the Art category, we find ourselves on a page that announces upcoming movies and the roles of various people, from Brad Pitt in a new Quenton Tarantino film to Benicio Del Toro (who will play "Moe" in a film about The Three Stooges). But scrolling down, we also visit the planned architecture of a bizarre and trend-setting Museum being developed in Italy - a futuristic and strange cliffside building. Below it is yet another architectural wonder, also in Europe. Photographers are featured and their shows advertised. More on movies and theater in a stunningly current list of the latest and most hip attractions, and all over the world. My point is that this is one very-informed and modern blog, replete with highly relevant items for the gay community but also containing an amazing quality of respect for the visual and aural arts in general. It is also well worth noting, other categories include "News" and a title called "Crave" (read eye candy). In short, this is about as sophisticated, appealing and just plain intelligent as any of the hundreds of blogs I have ever encountered. I bookmarked this one with no reservations.
