Out Traveler

OutTraveler.jpg

Whether you're into travel or just looking to take a vacation, Out Traveler one of the best gay travel sites I've seen. The design and layout are professional and attractive, and the features are fun and informative. My favorite was the Top 5 lists including the Top 5 Nude Beaches, Top 5 Cities for Gay Nightlife and Top 5 Cities for Shopping. But I also liked the Trip Planning section, the travel blog and the Top Destinations. And for those who want specific info, there's a search feature, as well. Whether you're looking for a gay bed and breakfast in a small town, a cruise featuring camp entertainment or a list of allergy-friendly hotels, I'd say that Out Traveler is a very good beginning to your journey!

Queersighted

gay blog.jpg

Queersighted is an exceptionally-informed, wide awake celebrity blog, hot with the latest news and perspectives on world and national events, among other features. It covers some of the very most recent music and theatrical releases as well as containing interviews, reviews and opinions deaking with some of the biggest gay voices in Hollywood and around the world. So it contains the most diverse of interests - from total entertainment value to more important, weightier matters. Issues concerning Gay Rights in Iran, for example are spoken of and the progress of the gay community's process towards acceptance is almost always in this blog's political focus. Serious it is, although it is also so well-written and topical that it makes an effortless read at the same time. The format here is very magazinish - picture-rich, of course, including entries dedicated solely to "This Week's Eye Candy" which, this time at least, featured Colin Farrell, never a bad thing. As a compilation of stories, pictures and articles dedicated to the gay community at large, this big and informative blog offers a world of entertainment and information.

Gay Sex Magic

gay magic.jpg

Gay Sex Magic offers greeting cards to be sent via email, complete with a space for personalized messages to your recipient. Free of charge and composed of some hilarious and some very steamy retro- and a few more modern pictures and scenario's, the entire E Card thing takes on a gay persona with humor and much else. Gay Sex Magic is also connected to Nightcharm.com, as a sponsor. Complete with more specialized "seasonal greetings", including Halloween and Christmas, yet more sexy and yet more funny cards are possible. This is a very 'camp' sort of offering d the fact is that these are bound to please someone, no matter the season. Hilariously, one image - for Halloween - has a superimposed picture of a huge hard cock, gigantic, larger than a human and sort of bouncing away in front of a very scared Marilyn Monroe-esque blond, whose surprise is palpable. Funny stuff and no doubt on the verge of some decent popularity. The creativity of selection and the art itself are classic.

Otter Men

otters.jpg

Please note - This site no longer exists or has been shut down and the links no longer work. Sorry!

The author of the Otter Men blog designates the following: "Otter: a man who is hairy, but is not large or stocky--typically thinner, or with lean muscle." He then proceeds to give a pretty astounding array of pictorial proof that he can not only designate his own niche on "Otters", but that he can do it in a very riveting way. He provides pictures obviously gained from years of intense and very focused interest. And he provides LOTS of them. In a sense it is a compendium of research regarding the niche, at least in terms of sheer quantity and the force of the impact he delivers. There can be no doubt this blogger throws the weight of his own interests right out front. Jase - the author - mentions he is a PhD candidate, attending school, who has a sideline interest in hot-looking gay men. His honesty is as refreshing as his approach and he sure doesn't hide his tastes. This site provides strenuous research with passion and the result is a totally fascinating blog, well worth visiting and revisiting. It is a visual feast but it also has some funny and honest things to say as well. I liked it.

Gay Campers

0001.jpg

GayCampers.com is a fairly massive site featuring a true compendium of information relating to all aspects of the gay life style, but focusing far more on travel and vacationing. Lists of cruises, destinations and facilities, events such as Gay Rodeos and the Gay Olympics litter the front page and provide informed looks and recommendations for all events. There seems to be no event too large or small for this stunningly thorough site to discover and then enlighten us to. Gay-friendly campgrounds the world over, from New Zealand to the US are featured and reviewed. Stories and articles on cycling, travel and camping from the gay perspective are among the many splendid features this website offers for free. Articles dealing with "Dykes on Bikes" as well as articles dealing with "Gay Gaming" are the tip of the iceberg exposing a fascinating list of insanely relevant articles for an informed and interested public. From "Gay Campgrounds in New Zealand", to "Halloween Cruise in the Caribbean", to "Gay Christians Naming Project", to "NASCAR's Openly Gay Competitor", this site covers a wealth of subject matter intelligently and with real objective observations. The travel section alone is beyond helpful.

Gay Tubs

Gay Tubs

GayTubs.com is a breezy, accessible and detailed look at the historical role gay bath houses have played in the evolution of the gay male lifestyle in the United States. While somewhat brief, and therefore more suitable for the Internet, it would still be hard to imagine a better compilation of history, especially inasmuch as everything detailed is either linked to more information or else spelled out in a completely straightforward way. And what an enlightening history it is! We are taken from the turn of the Century in the late 1900's, where YMCA janitors spying through keyholes could result in prosecution, to a more sophisticated and less dangerous era where gay men learned to deal with the legal biases and to operate in more secure bath houses. Then we travel through the McCarthy Era, when guards were employed to monitor suspicious behavior at what were formerly openly gay bath houses, and thence to San Fransisco in the '60's and '70's where, and I quote: "In the late 1970's, statistics showed that the average Club customer was white, between thirty and thirty-five, earned $12,000 a year, and stayed at the Club for approximately five hours during which he climaxed three times." There is some purposeful irony and humor throughout this well-devised and well-written site - just a feast and maybe the state of the art for the purposes of Internet historical writing. Let me also add there is far more, too. Cities are specified as well, such as Cleveland, Ohio, Los Angeles, and San Fransisco. It is hard to heap enough praise on the efforts of those responsible for this clear and refreshing bit of history. What a great visit!

Greg In Hollywood

greg in hollywood

Greg In Hollywood is an absolutely refreshing and fun blog to visit. Sharp as a tack, Greg has a refreshing take on controversial issues of politics and lifestyle as well as providing unabashed appreciation about the celebrity hunks he posts pictures of on this charming site. More importantly to this reader, he presents newsworthy and sometimes lighthearted updates on the careers of those he has followed or even who just catch his fancy. There is no fluff distracting from the discussion. It is hard to imagine a more relevant blog for a gay audience. Sophisticated and enlightening, Greg delivers consistently relevant items for thought and discussion, all of which bear on current events. From Florence Henderson to Roger Federer to openly gay Hollywood success stories, Greg approaches them all with a true reporter's and political/social opinionist's biases. Fortunately for us all, his opinions are those of a very informed and sharp observer of the society we all share. As for the pictures and for his personal admiration of individuals, we get all that as well. He does not leave out the beefcake one iota. This is a very personal site, representing the thoughts, opinions, loves and personal adoration's of what certainly seems to be a really cool and very informed man.

White Briefs

editors-whitebriefs.jpg

If tighty whities are your thing, then White Briefs will certainly give you the rush that you need. Hunky, jock-like men show off their gorgeous bodies and large erections while donning clean white briefs. A simply laid out blog with many different types of men showing off sexy underwear, it looks as though it's been around for some time now. Aside from the many ads in the sidebar, for cheap people like myself who are just looking for a good rush and a perverted peek at hot guys in their ginch, it's a veritable hunk heaven. The main menu runs at the top and takes us to several different parts of the blog. Amateurs can submit photos of themselves in their briefs, and others can review the images. In the event you really make a wave with your shots, polls can even be set up by the blogmaster for others to say how they feel anonymously. Again, for those of us who truly appreciate hot men in white underwear, White Briefs is sheer heaven indeed. Sometimes I wish there were more places like this online, but then again, we wouldn't appreciate blogs like this if there were, would we?

Fagalicious

editors-fagalicious.jpg

Well if the term "Fagalicious" describes very yummy looking gay men, then they certainly picked the right name for their blog here. Right away we are met with gorgeous muscled hunks posing, jerking off, and bascially just looking damn good. There is a small main menu under the site header, but the majority of what you will want to see is accessible as you scroll down. Thumbnail previews of Fagalicious' models are to the left. Under each thumbnai is a brief description of each stud and a link to even more if you find yourself lusting after him. After taking a brief tour of the entire blog, I will say from experience that we are getting previews of some of the best looking men around the world engaged in the gay porn biz. A lot are amateurs and most look as though they spend a good amount of time in the gym. How can there be anything wrong with that?

YVY Mag

editors-yvymag.jpg

Male model magazines are becoming pretty popular these days. Aside from offering very good looking men in previews and brief reviews, YVY Mag also seems to preview products which could be beneficial to some. Tanning creams and the like are talked about in brief detail for our information. I will say that this blog took a little bit to load up, but nothing too bad. Through the main menu up top we are informed of the latest styles of clothing around the globe for men, as well as hot images of many gorgeous babes. Many entries to the blog are accessible through banner-like thumbnails on the front page. At first it may look like a large advertisement site, but this is just a unique part of this particular blog. Most images are edited in an artistic context, and swimmers and athletes seem to be a large part of the menu. An interesting blog for sure, although quite unique as well. If male models and swimmer's builds are your thing, you could have a good time at YvY Mag.
