I like Dudes In Caps. It is about as lightweight as any blog out there in many ways, with minimal - if any - corresponding commentary and it must be hellaciously easy to just find a dude in a cap and post it, then send. But there is something more than that here, unless I am really stretching. I like the pictures! There is pretty much one every day, culled from God knows where, but there is also a sensibility that draws one in as we peruse them all. There are, after all, over 800 pictures of "dudes in caps" (and hats, to be fair), but I find a certain fairness - and some most loving "fairy-ness" - to it all. These are guys who are sprouting their maleness in every which way, from beach bum frisbee operators to models who are somewhere beyond hot. The entire site is rife with men, in short. Some of your everyday hotties are in here, doing dumb and interesting things, being guys, while he also gives us looks at the world's most elegant dudes - wearing lids. Maybe it's the "California" in me that goes for this, but don't we all sometimes admire men we see on a sidewalk, doing whatever they do in their own worlds, caught in a frieze of our own making? The mix of randomness and stylishness mix really well in this charming little niche-driven blog and I happened to enjoy my visit and plan on a few more. There is a huge archive, after all. This one is in the "mildly-hot-to-surprise!" category. An interesting blog.
