Uh-oh.Looks like someone has a case of "the bitters." Ladies and gentlemen, TheSword.com's Zach Sire:
"I'm offended. How can an openly gay man who has built his career on having gay sex with gay men betray his gay fans by making out with and groping a straight woman, for money? Is Brent Corrigan even gay? How much money did it take to turn him so repulsively straight, for three minutes and twenty six seconds, and to simulate sex with this obvious whore? Did Brent Corrigan wear a condom when he didn't have sex with this woman in this music video from the soundtrack to the upcoming independent film, Judas Kiss?"
Ouch! I guess having a cushy, high-falutin' job in one of the most amazing cities in the world (San Francisco) - with unlimited use of central air-conditioning, no less! - while getting paid to follow porn stars' tweets isn't enough. You have to go after one of gay porn's most
beloved controversial talked-about shapely figures: Brent Corrigan. Ms. Corrigan, if you're nasty. The thing is, Brent is only doing the same thing straight stars - from Sean Penn ("Milk") to Eric McCormack ("Will & Grace") to Patrick Stewart ("Jeffrey") - have been doing for years: acting! But somehow when gay men play straight roles, it incites the sort of hysterical panic not last seen since the famous 1983 Cabbage Patch Doll Christmas Massacre.
Of course, it could be that Zach is being droll. Really, really droll. (Mr. Corrigan certainly didn't take it that way according to one of his tweets.) But even if he is - or isn't - how dare he criticize perhaps the greatest living gay, Belgian, teen-age, blond-haired television artist - Timo Descamps - since (insert the name of another living, gay, Belgian, teen-age, blond-haired television artist) by saying that "Like It Rough," a single from the upcoming indie "Judas Kiss," is "possibly the worst song [he has] ever heard?"
Clearly, Zach has never heard of "Chocolate Rain."
So what do you think? Is The Sword just being snarky? Or is Brent Corrigan out of his league? Should Brent remain a fixture in the minds of his tens of thousands of adoring fans and stick to bottoming and low-budget, gay camp comedies? Inquiring minds want to know!
